We have two weddings to go to while I'm pregnant--one is about a month from now, and one is three weeks after that.
They're both on DH's side of the family, so same crowd of people will be at both. By the looks of the invites, one is more formal/traditional, and the other will be a little more laid-back. Wedding #2 is all outdoors in the middle of July, so it's going to be hot as hell.
First of all: do I need two different dresses, or do I get a pass because I'm pregnant and maternity clothes suck?
Second of all, has anyone seen anything out there that's cute? I don't want to spend a ton, if I have to buy two, but I'll spend a little more if I can get away with one dress for both. I'm not turning up anything I love. I'd prefer not to do strapless.
I have a strapless black maternity dress still with tags from when I had my baby instead of being a bridesmaid. I can take a picture of it tonight if you're interested. I think it is a size 12. I'll sell it pretty darn cheap.
Do you have any maternity consignment stores near you? If so I would check there. If not I would go for a simple black dress and change up the accessories so you don't have to buy two dresses.

Surprisingly Old Navy has some great ones. Gotta order online though! I got a comfy black dress but the chevron ones were so cute too, just too white for wedding
I bought this for a rehearsal dinner last week and have gotten so many compliments on it. It's really comfy and was pretty cheap. Someone mentioned ON chevron dress- I bought that in the navy stripes and love it too.
Best maternity purchase I made was a black jersey wrap dress from Isabelle Oliver. I wore it once a week for 4 months and it could be dressed up or down with jewelry/shoes.
A little $$$, but well-made and you can definitely amortize the cost over many, many wears.
It was very cute, but a size too big. Bonus: my store had it on clearance (30% off!)
I bought this one for a nice country club wedding we're going to about 2 weeks before I'm due. It's cuter on and in person. It's not necessarily what I'd choose for non-maternity but at 38 weeks, there will definitely not be any squeezing into a non-mat dress.

Same. I bought it in black and blue and wore the hell out of them
