So I just saw the ob/gyn I was referred to by the RE re my genetic kidney disorder. He sees no reason I shouldn't be able to have a successful pregnancy. He did have some blood drawn so he'll know what the normal status of my kidneys is. He said that during a pregnancy they'd just monitor me a little more to make sure that if it has a negative effect on my kidneys, they can give me meds asap.
He also said that I should be diligent about taking folic acid, but that taking prenatals is bullshit and an evil ploy by the pharmaceutical industry to make money off peoples worries. If you eat a normal diet with enough fresh veggies and protein and good carbs, you don't need those at all. He quoted studies and everything. He did insist on 'the cheapest folic acid you can find'.

Now just to actually get pregnant Glad that my body is looking normal, but at the same time that frustrates me slightly more, because if all looks normal and I am ovulating and FF tells me we're having high chances with our timing every effing single month, why the heck aren't I pregnant yet??
