Would you do this? Re: 2nd job while pregnant

I'm a worrier, and getting pregnant this quickly was somewhat unexpected. So, I'm wondering if I should get another job and use the money as pure savings for the baby?

I currently own my business and don't have full days with patients AT ALL. I could work just 3 days a week at my business, and work the other 2 with a job that just opened up (it's a mobile job, so I would be traveling to nursing homes/assisted living, etc.). I would estimate being paid between 800-1500$ a month.

This would help bulk up our savings (currently 10k), as well as paying the bills when I have to take off to have the baby (since I work for myself, I don't get maternity leave and my husband doesn't make enough to cover everything alone).

What do you guys think. Would you apply for the job?

Early in my pregnancy, yeah I probably would, but right now I can't imagine having 2 jobs. I don't even want to come to my 1 job. I think, do it while you can to save up some money, but let them know you might not be able to continue doing it in your 3rd trimester.

I say apply for the job. If you get it you can decide if you want it then.

When I was pregnant with DS1 I worked full-time, taught 3 gym classes a week, and went to grad school at night. You can certainly do a lot while pregnant. The question you need to ask yourself is, "is it worth it?"

I would do it. It doesn't sound like something that would be hard to quit if you decide that it is all too much.
