MM or too MM? (baby formula related)

My building has a bulletin board thing where people can list items for sale, ask for housekeeper recommendations, etc. We get emails when there is a new listing and it can be quite entertaining (for instance, the more than 6 foot tall "iconic praying mantis floor lamp") that was listed this morning.

Here's the latest listing -- is this MM or too MM/dangerous/scary?

"I bought a can of similac alimentum before the hurricane and tested one scoop on my baby. Still refusing formula and don't want to waste the whole $30 can. Its yours for free if you pick up."

Also, the Bump would have me believe that this mother is a failure, right?

Seems like just a nice gesture to hopefully avoid throwing away perfectly good baby formula.

Formula is fairly sensitive to temp changes. Must be stored in a cool dry place. I would not get it..not MM in my opinion.

Sounds MM to me but I don't know all the formula rules. I'd take it from a friend at least.

It's pretty common on our neighborhood message board. I'd only take it from someone I knew, or a friend of a friend.

I don't get it. Is the issue that it's coming from a stranger? Unless i had reason to believe it was tampered with I would happily accept it, if that's the kind I needed.

Yes, that it is coming from one of your 1000 or so random buildingmates.

Couldn't tell where this falls compared to, say, getting Halloween candy that isn't fully wrapped from a neighbor you don't know.

Alimentum is especially expensive, I think. I'm pretty sure it's for babies who can't handle regular formula.

For me, this would be something I would do (offer it up), but not something I'd take someone up on, unless I knew them. Kind of like buying a used car seat.
