Best: Disney when I was ten Worst: Nova Scotia the week after I was fired for being caught smoking pot at church camp (my parents thought I had been drinking). Tense.

Best: My family would visit baseball stadiums and one summer we did a road trip from NJ to Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, and Chicago. It was awesome. Worst: Really can't think of any, except we would drive to FL every year to see my grandparents and that was a long time in the car.
We only went to the same few places - Montauk, Orlando, Ft Myers and Lake George growing up so all those trips were fun but they blended together. Worst trips were when we drove because OMG it took forever. I think my favorite trip was when we got to go to D.C. for the 1988 inauguration. That was really fun. We also went to the Christmas tree lighting at the White House a few times.
worst - lake of the ozarks. it was a golf vacation, I hate golf vacations. I had quit golfing many years before but my dad and brother convinced me to give it a try and told me they wouldn't critique me at all. They lied, my brother was mean and in retaliation I told him that our parents had been smoking pot all those years he thought they were cigarettes. He was in DARE at the time and he was crying hysterically about it. He was 10. It was a disaster. best - I have a lot of good ones
best- any of the many trips we took to Silver Dollar City. Yes I know it is Branson and WT but I loved that place and have amazing memories. I wish we still had the pink parasol that we got personalized one year. My parents took my sister and BIL last weekend and I was sad we couldn't go with. Dh refuses to go ever though, but somehow I will crack him!
we didn't do a "big" vacation til I was in high school and we went to D.C. and Chincoteague Island. It was Branson and Colorado up til then.
worst: family vacation to Glen Erie in Colorado Springs. I was 9 I think and my sister and I bitched and moaned through the entire trip. We gorged ourselves on Whoppers on the car ride then got altitude sickness. I hated the kid's sessions we had to go to, in general I hated all organized religious stuff growing up like VBS, camp, etc. I don't know why my parents thought we'd enjoy it. They made us go hiking and rappelling and I threw a fit. I hated the outdoors and was terrified of heights. I distinctly remember my dad losing his shit on me towards the end of the trip. I totally deserved it. Spending a week at a Christian family camp did nothing but make us hate each other, lol.
The weather in Paris was godawful (and we hadn't packed for how cold and rainy it was).
My sister had bad PMS or was possessed by a demon or something because even compared to her hideous hormonal fluctuations, she was beyond a bitch on wheels. It was really something. She ruined everything for everyone.
A pigeon shat on me.
And the worst part of it all was the night train from Paris to Rome. Between my dad's snoring and the people talking loudly and smoking directly outside our door all night, I did not sleep for a second.
Best were our annual trips to Atlanta to visit my grandparents. Particularly when my cousin would come with us. I have a lot of great memories of the ATL. And apparently I'm a sap (well, a sap whose parents typically left the kids behind when they went on good trips!)
We never went on vacation. We only ever went to visit family. That typically meant 20+ hrs in the car driving to the deep south to visit grandparents and cousins. A few times we got to stay in a hotel - Holiday Inn.. ha!
One summer my father was on an extended business trip for 6 months in CA so we flew out to see him for a week or so. I got to go to Sea World while we were there, and also took a walk over the boarder into Mexico.
highlight - That trip to CA to visit my dad. He worked, so we only saw him at night, and he was a jerk, but Sea World was fun.
worst - Every trip down to visit family, as it was always stressful, there was drama, and the ride was LONG.
Best: Most of them; nothing really stands out. I remember digging for clams in Pismo Beach, a couple of trips to Disneyland, and just random "let's get in the car and see where we get" road trips.
Worst: Our first camping trip. My family had no idea how to camp, and we were cold, dirty, and hungry. It was awful, and I haven't liked camping since that day

Best: Any and every Disney trip. Also our trip to California for 2 weeks when I was in 7th grade.
Worst: Trip to Washington DC when I was in 8th grade. I had my period for only the 3rd or 4th time ever and was miserable and my sister loves history so we went to so many museums. I love DC now though!
Worst: Probably OBX with H's family. I like them and all, but renting a house and having to grocery shop, cook meals, wash dishes, and do laundry is NOT a vacation to me.
We didn't take a lot - we lived far from my parents' extended family, so most vacations were spent traveling back to visit them.
Best (and I realize this is a little sad) - we traveled to Missouri and Arkansas. First we stopped and saw all of the Mark Twain cheesy stuff in Missouri along the river, then in Arkansas, we had rented a cabin and spent the week as a family. I have fond memories of hanging with my parents, eating fresh fish caught from the lake. We also stopped in St. Louis and saw the zoo, the Magic House and the Arch.
Worst - any trip back to see family. We would literally drive for 24 hours straight. I slept on the backseat. All that driving, and all I got at the end was an uncomfortable week with cousins I rarely saw. The only highlight was that I got to pick out a new cassette and a new book to read for the trip. NKOTB FTW!
Worst: I think we were going to FL and driving there. My sister and me kept fighting the whole time and my Dad got so pissed at me. He pulled the car over and everything. We stopped at my parents friend's house in NOLA for the night and my Dad didn't talk to me the whole time or for like a day after.

I don't think I have a worst. I enjoyed all of our family vacations. Most of the time it was just camping but we did do WDW and DC.
My youngest brother had heat stroke at Animal Kingdom. That pissed me off because we didn't get to do the whole thing and that was the park I was looking forward to the most.
My family has a cottage on a lake in northern Wisconsin, so that's pretty much the only trip we took. Last year, though, we took a trip to a beach house on Isle of Palm, right outside Charleston, and it was amazing. It was November, so we had the beach all to ourselves. We had a few beach days, a few days in Charleston...it was perfect!

Best: Either New York City or the first time we went to Clearwater, FL Worst: The second time we went to Clearwater, FL because my parents got in a HUGE fight halfway through the trip (like the worst I'd ever seen) and didn't speak to each other the rest of the time. Super awkward.
Have you ever vacationed with old hippies? They were all horrible. My parent's idea of vacation was packing the trunk with homegrown food and pitching a tent somewhere. ONE WITH NATURE. Fast food will poison you! They aren't nice to their chickens! Let's build a fire and take some meat out of the cooler from the chicken that we just slaughtered yesterday! Yay, vacation!
Best: Most of them. Ski trips, Disney, Martha's Vineyard, and a Caribbean cruise all stand out as really fun.
Worst: A sad getaway to Kiawa Island shortly after my sister died, an awkward trip to Disney with both my parents shortly after they told us they were getting divorced, and an ill-fated trip to Mexico where we found out our house had been burglarized half way through and had to come home early.
My parents usually took us on a trip every year and most were really great. My favorite was when we went to Cabo San Lucas and my grandparents came too. We had a great time, played lots of games, sightseeing, etc. It was also the last trip my grandparents came with us because my Grandma's health declined rapidly after that.
The worst trip was when my parent took us on the Amtrak to Chicago over Christmas. I was in Jr High and was really excited about it. My sister and brother were a few years younger and they thought it was the worst idea ever. They fought the whole 12 hour train ride up there. They got in a huge fight on top of the Sears Tower and my parents got so mad that my dad stayed in the hotel room the last 2 days of the trip with them. My mom and I continued to tour Chicago and I got to go to FAO Schwartz. I felt bad about my siblings missing the rest of the trip but they really were being little assholes! Ha ha!

Best: Middle school when I got to take a friend with me to Hilton Head. Usually it was just family and I had to hang out with my brother.
Worst: Christmas vacation in high school when my mom got in a fight with her sister on Christmas and walked out of the house. My dad found her several hours later (pre cell phones).
I had to think a long time to come up with a semi-enjoyable one. We visited my uncle in Houston while I was in college. He is normal, unlike a lot of my mom's family and even called my mom out on a few things. We went to Six Flags and Sea World.
Worst: It's a mesh of long car trips, arguments over who had to share a bed and sit in the middle seat of the car, and getting yelled at for something or other by my father (he rarely came on trips at least). Once I had my license my mom would make me do some of the driving and yell at me when I would insist that my sister put her seat belt on before I started driving.
Now, I have a firm rule of at least one vacation a year that doesn't involve seeing family.
Worst: no vacations, but the driving was bad. We drive from eastern WA state to CA/OR border... from eastern WA state to Utah or Nevada or Montana. In the back of a station wagon in between my sisters (as the youngest I always got the crappiest seating on long car rides).
Best: family camping every summer with my dad's entire extended family and a week at my great grandparents' house on my mom's side in ID every summer. Also, every spring break we'd go to the beach, usually in Oregon. One spring break we went to Disneyland. It was awesome.
We did a big vacation every other year and then went to Florida for a week during the others. Our big vacations were always to national parks and we always drove from GA. I've seen 46 states and the only one I flew to was Hawaii.
Best: We drove from GA to Colorado and Utah and did a tour of the national parks. It was like a 3 week vacation during the summer and we saw so much and hiked so many miles. It was awesome.
Worst: We drove from GA all the way to Maine and then took a ferry to Canada and then drove back down. I was in early middle school and we did all the historical sites. I was over it before the Freedom trail ended. Both my grandmas came and I was shoved in the middle seat between my two siblings and our suitcases. And it poured on my birthday so I didn't get to go sea kayaking in Acadia National Park I would love to go back and do that trip now but at that age I was just bored and cramped and over it.
None of them sucked, the ones we went on were special since it took years in between for each. Disney 2 times, Washington DC, Cape Cod here and there for weekends, my parents always made it special.
