In my condo (rented out to a tenant), it doesn't go up much.
For our house, it's gone up a ton. We moved in 3 years ago, and it's gone from roughly $1100/yr to almost $1900/yr. Their explanation is that our area is in a new high risk area because of some wind storm that caused damage. I call BS. I think they gave us a low rate initially to reel us in, and then raised the rates a lot, figuring that most people don't switch insurance companies all that often and will just live with the higher rates.
