water bill

Paying bills and I just noticed that our water usage is the highest it's ever been this month. The only thing I've done differently is washing a couple of bottles and occaionally pump parts, and I guess I am home a lot more, I'm working 3 days less a week. But from last May we are up between 500-1000 gallons. That still seems like a big increase. I hope we don't have a leak. Me, the hubs, and the little one have used 3750 gallons this month. Does that seem crazy?

Are you sure B isn't watering grass more?

We don't water the grass. We have Florida friendly landscaping, or dirt in other words.

Oh duh, I started giving Amelia daily baths this month. She uses her tiny tub but that's still extra water. I'm going to start thinking about it more and conserve in other areas. Not because it's expensive but just from a conservationist point of view.

well if thats crazy, we are in big trouble. I don't even want to put what we used... i don't have the current bill, but in jan we used 5200 feb 3300 (wow thats a big decrease) .. this was the most recent bill i could find.

i don't know what is normal.. i have a huge washer, which is brand new and supposed to be more water efficient (hmph). we only water the yard once a week when chris is home... its just me and my dad most of the week. =/

We use an insane amount more water with Kennedy than we did before. I was my hands 120000 times a day for one. Plus her baths, plus more laundry, washing bottles, etc. it's crazy. I don't know gallons but I know we pay $120 or so a month!

sorry, but now I feel better. Ours was $38 this month.

Is that just for water or is trash pickup included in that?

Ours is just water. Our area doesn't have reclaimed water so it's a lot more expensive for things like watering lawn....
