First ultrasound today - how much water to drink?

I have my first ultrasound at 1 today (yay!). I know my nurse said how much water I have to drink prior but I can't remember. Does 36oz sound right? I could call her but thought one of you may remember.

I've had transvaginal ultrasounds up until 12 weeks.

I'm not sure on water. It's been A very long time since I had to do that. I'd guess 36 is about right

they make me pee every time before getting an u/s. so... i have no idea

I don't think its that big of a deal anymore with the improvements in the technology. They didn't tell me anything for mine and they had no problem seeing anything. But a few glasses can't hurt.

I had the water nazi last time (or so my OB told me later)! She made me chug a full glass of water after she started b/c my bladder was not full enough. I about pissed my pants running to the bathroom after! I am pretty sure it is 32 oz in the hour prior especially if its the A/S because the pictures are better when they bounce off the bladder (or some bullshit she was feeding me as I sat there trying to drink that Solo cup of water)

My instructions are usually just not to pee for two hours before (Torture, obviously).

Thanks guys! I'm back - I drank ~5 glasses before I went and I was fine. One cute, healthy looking baby in there! And we heard a heartbeat. So fun.
