I need to hang drapes before we have our crown molding installed (in the new year). Would you try to hang them where they need to be - that is, adjusted for the length of the crown? Or should I just hang them on the high side and plan on taking them down and remounting them when the crown goes up?
I'm not exactly sure how low the crown extends - I suppose I could call the contractor and ask.
Also, I'm planning on hanging rod pocket curtains on a traverse rod. Anyone hanve experience w/this? It looks like drapery hooks are the easiest approach.

That is what we did.
If you do it the other way, you'll have holes to patch later. Extra work, plus it never comes out looking just PERFECT. Better end result to just hang the curtains in their final location first, and if they look a little low until the crown molding goes up, oh well.
