I'm currently wearing a pair of maternity jeans. I feel like I lost the battle.
A few days ago, my waist band just started digging into my middle something FIERCE. I finally became so uncomfortable that I bit the bullet and went to Motherhood.
But good news: they have a sale on their jeans. I got these babies for $31. And they are coooooomfy!
I managed to score a pair of Paige maternity jeans for $45 last week but I haven't put them on yet. They're being shortened right now. But I HAVE worn a pair of green maternity pants.
And for the record, I have a suit on today but the skirt doesn't zip all the way up. Which is classy. You can't tell from the outside though, don't worry.
Ohh rock the no waistband!! The first time I wore maternity jeans was amazing and I realized I should have lost that internal battle a couple days earlier.
Good deal at Motherhood, I might have to check them out as I need a pair of skinny jeans. I got a pair of Gap Maternity last week on Black Friday for $30 and I was so happy.

I've been wearing the Rockstar skinny jeans from Old Navy and they're AWESOME. So comfy, lower waist band, and still make you feel human and not dumpy.

Ok, I have a question, when do you really start to look pg to the outside world? I'm not far at all, but the boobs are a dead give away. I can still wear my pants, but my work attire tops are getting sparse, I've been covering these bad boys with extra tanks/scrafs, big necklaces, etc, but I feel like people are going to start asking questions at work before I want to spill my guts (I'm waiting until after the NT scan do to family history of loss due to severe Downs). I don't really want to buy a new wardrob that is never going to be worn again, but I'm not ready for maternity yet (i.e not big enough).
People are pretty reticent to say anything till you're Pregnant. Like I think it was at least 24-25 weeks for me the first time someone who didn't know asked.
I've been super bloated since the week before bfp. I had to do the elastic thing right away. I was going to get maternity clothes around week 8. (Talking to my aunts, the amount of bloat and need for maternity clothes early runs in our family.) but that was roughly the time I got really sick so I was able to avoid maternity clothes until last week. They are much more comfortable
Nata, what are the odds that would work with dress pants? I can't wear jeans to work and I hate every pair of maternity slacks I've tried. I'm no seamstress but I think my SIL could do it. Do you think it was denim specific?
I wore some on a whim last week on an especially bloated day and I am NEVER GOING BACK. And then I ran into the dilemma of shirt length to cover the maternity pants so I bought some maternity tops... and now I'm just that person who is full on in maternity clothes before second tri.
No shame, man. No shame.
No shame at all. I was in maternity clothes around the time you are currently, too.
Also, major hint for ladies who have craigslist near you. Maternity clothes are a GREAT bargain on there! I got two huge boxes for $150. I have so much to wear now!
I've been lucky so far, workwise-I wear scrub pants and t-shirts to work most days so yay for drawstring pants! The bloat is driving me nuts though so we'll see how wearing jeans tomorrow goes, I may end up hunting down my jeans that are a size bigger than what I usually wear (bought when I gained 10 lbs last fall) in the name of comfort.
I loooove me some maternity jeans. I had a pair when I was regnant w/Gregory from Target and I HATED them. they constantly slid down and ate my underwear. Oneof the girls in my MOMS Club gave me 4 pairs from Motherhood Maternity and they are like heaven. I have pretty much worn them every day except thanksgiving. I dressed up and wore cords then
