I know. LOL that I'm asking all of you. DH doesn't think I should go, but I feel guilty because I'm unemployed.
So this company that's one step above pyramid scheme contacted me. I went to the first interview, and it's just really kind of weird.
It's the type of place where you can go from blue collar work with no traditional college degree to being executive level in three years.
The type of place where you get a giganto "class" ring and a huge crystal cup for reaching goals.
Everyone is SUPER excited to be there.
No matter what, as long as you work hard you're "guaranteed" to move up the ladder. (Who works under these people if everyone can keep moving up? Pyramid scheme?)
Most of the people in my interview group had come from blue collar jobs where they weren't able to move up the ladder and they were dissatisfied. (Not that there's even much ladder to climb in the jobs they came from.) They claimed to have worked the hardest in their previous jobs but others had moved up above them. There was no discussion about whether they were good at their jobs. LOL.
Also, it's got such great work/life balance, but um you have to meet potential clients in the evening and all day Saturday. Yes, that will totally work when I get home after my child is in bed, and she'll soon be at school all day when I'm sitting at home twiddling my thumbs, but at least I'd see her on Sundays. 8-D
Ok. I'm not going. LOL.
**This is not meant as a criticism of blue collar workers. Seriously.**
