1. Real or Fake Tree This year we are going real. 2. Colored or White lights on Tree White lights 3. Colored or White lights on house We aren't doing lights this year.... too much going on with the move and kiddo, but I'm a white light, big bulb on edge of lawn type of girl. 4. Blow up lawn characters? Nope. They look so sad during the day. 5. Wreath on front door? Yes. But this year we have double front doors and we need two wreaths. We only have one. And we'll never find a matching one. So I centered it all ghetto style. Must get two wreaths for next year. 6. Other decorations outside? Red bow on the mailbox. A snowman and santa skating in the lawn.
Tree has to be real. I'm from the Adirondacks. Fake trees are folklore there and kind of sacrilegious. One year MIL gave us a hand me down fake tree and I felt dirty.
We've always done white lights on the tree and white icicle lights on the house but this year we are switching to colored for both.
No blow up stuff. I agree with Moon. A disaster during the day time. I do kind of like my neighbors light up snowman and was thinking of getting one this year. I looked at Target and really liked the angel but it's a little expensive. Going to stick to simple strand lights. Plus in our hood I'm not sure it wouldn't disappear, although lots of neighbors have them so that's a good sign.
No wreath on the front door. I hate our door and don't want to draw anymore attention to it. Although that may be a good way to cover it up. Maybe next year. I'm sure each year we will add a little more with the munchkin and all.

1 real 2 white 3 white 4 not a chance 5 of course, with a red bow 6 a little fake tree in an urn I bought when we were renting that has white lights and pine cones in it. I might pick iPhone a few poinsettias.
1. Real or Fake Tree Fake this year. I cannot have children with sap-hands, eating pine needles, or drinking tree water. 2. Colored or White lights on Tree I have almost always done white and gold lights. I might do color this year. I am supposed to be cleaning and decorating right now but I am nesting and taking a quick nap first. 3. Colored or White lights on house White. Icicle. Sometimes the net lights if I have something to drape them over. 4. Blow up lawn characters? No. My mom has them, though. That's good enough for me. 5. Wreath on front door? I have not in years past. I have a wooden Santa that usual hangs out on the front door. 6. Other decorations outside? Not yet. This is the first year we have had a yard/ground floor apartment. Or been a part of a holiday decoration contest!

1. Real or Fake Tree- Artifical. I've went with this the past few years because its much easier with little ones. Plus I'll admit that I love not having needles to sweep up constantly. And I don't have to worry about watering it, which I am terrible at. I'll return to real ones when the kids are a little older and can appreciate it more.
2. Colored or White lights on Tree- On our big tree, white only. No exceptions. We do have a smaller kids tree, that has colored lights, tinsely garland and all the keepsake and homemade ornaments that Beckett is free to decorate however he wishes.
3. Colored or White lights on house- White on the house. Then the trunks of 2 tall palms flanking our driveway get wrapped in either all red on one or all green on the other, or both all in white.
4. Blow up lawn characters? God, no. In the daytime, it looks like someone threw an armload of dirty laundry in their front yard.
5. Wreath on front door? For some reason, I haven't had one the past few years. I'd like one this year.
6. Other decorations outside? I prefer to do most of my decorating inside and keep the outside simple. My neighbors have a pretty elaborate set up next door(including a carousel, moving woodland animals and lights set to music) that keeps Beckett happy with out my having to actually put stuff in mine.
1. Real or Fake Tree - No tree in my apartment, but DH will put up our fake tree in Riyadh for the kids. We can't do a real tree there because: a) pines don't grow so well in the desert; and b) celebrating Christmas is illegal. We'll definitely get a real tree next year on Bucharest. 2. Colored or White lights on Tree - White lights. 3. Colored or White lights on house - No lights on the house since we live in government housing. 4. Blow up lawn characters? No yard. 5. Wreath on front door? No. 6. Other decorations outside? No.
Ok, I am the lamest participant of this poll ever. We can't really do anything to the outside of our house and I'm not there to decorate the tree this year. We're going to be at my sister's house on Christmas day though so I'm sure her house will be beautifully decorated to put us in the Christmas spirit.
Tasha how convenient to have neighbors like that! Amelia loves looking at lights so that would be awesome to have next door, and such a money saver.
So tonight I looked at lights driving home and there weren't too many with colored lights that were done tastefully. I think this is a new challenge for me.
I'm also the only one on this board doing colored on my tree this year. It's mostly because I'm afraid to pit my bulbs and ornaments on because they are all Waterford and I don't want to lose them. Maybe I'll buy some cheap ones for the next couple of years.

1. Real since I got married, but I grew up with fake. 2. White 3. White 4. Never 5. Definitely 6. NA at this moment, but would do basic things if I could.
1. Real or Fake Tree "Permanent." (My dad used to sell them a million years ago, and was taught to say permanent instead of artificial or fake, so that's our word of choice!) 2. Colored or White lights on Tree Colored 3. Colored or White lights on house I don't have a house to decorate, but if I did it would be white lights with red bows and wreaths on the windows. 4. Blow up lawn characters? Not a chance. 5. Wreath on front door?Absolutely 6. Other decorations outside? Only what I mentioned above!

1. Real or Fake Tree real 2. Colored or White lights on Tree Colored 3. Colored or White lights on house Colored 4. Blow up lawn characters? Not anymore. My dad bought DD a blow up snowman when she was little and it finally died last year. She was mad that I didn't replace it. She has already told her Papa that she needs another one, so I'm sure a snowman will be back soon. :/ 5. Wreath on front door? Yes 6. Other decorations outside? Just lights.
1. Real or Fake Tree Fake 2. Colored or White lights on TreeColored Lights 3. Colored or White lights on houseColored Lights 4. Blow up lawn characters? No 5. Wreath on front door?Yes 6. Other decorations outside?Minimal. A santa and snowman by the front door. And a red bow and snowman on the mailbox. I'm too lazy to do much more.
This year I am not even putting up a tree. With a 3 month old who doesn't know the difference and the fact we will be in Boston for Christmas, I cannot be bothered doing all that work inside the house. We did put up our outside lights last weekend so at least neighbors think we are in the spirit!
1. Real or Fake Tree - Real, growing up we always had a real tree and I love them! 2. Colored or White lights on Tree - We've done both, depends on my mood and which strands work ;D 3. Colored or White lights on house - White 4. Blow up lawn characters? Nope 5. Wreath on front door? Yes 6. Other decorations outside? Not yet, but every year I get closer to buying a lighted reindeer.
