I ditched a bunch of our tree ornaments last year.
All that I have left are not enough, and also usually I don't decorate the back of the tree because its in a corner. This year I am putting it in a window, so I have to decorate all the way around.
I want to do something crafty/thrifty....
What I have are -a few dozen navy blue glass balls(haha yes I have blue balls) -a few dozen clear glass ones, some plain and some with white feathers inside -6 puffy, glittery balls that look like snowballs -a rag garland I made that is burlap, blue, and plaid torn fabrics tied onto twine.
I need something not round...was thinking of doing a bunch of white cutouts of reindeer or something A LA the blog Dear Lillie..
But I'd love something like some big picks or some dangly icicles. I was considering gathering some bare branches and spray painting them white and tucking them into the tree. Would that be totally weird?
Before I got to the last line I was thinking icicles would be awesome with what you've already got going on. that and some pretty silver or sparkly snowflakes.
If you've already got feathers in some of the clear balls it might be pretty to find some big white feathers and tuck those in here and there? Or even to use a boa as a garland? This sounds cute in my head, but might actually be weird. I'm not sure.
