Ringworm is totally no big deal. It's just a fungal infection, like athlete's foot. I've been exposed to it while volunteering at the animal shelter and never contracted it (not a guarantee that you WON'T get it, but it's definitely possible that you might not).
I don't have any experience with ring worm, but it really does sound like nbd.
However, I will tell you the bath thing will be ok. My pup has sensitive skin and is prone to skin infections because of excess yeast. This means that I have to bathe her 1x a week with her special (at $90 a gal!) shampoo. Its not even a simple wash, rinse and dry, but I have to wash and rinse her then lather her again and wait for the shampoo to sit for 10 minutes before rinsing. When she has an infection I have to wash her with this method 3x a week.
Its not fun for anyone, but you do what you have to for the ones you love, right? I promise the bath thing is ok. Its annoying, especially since she gives me the silent treatment for the rest of the day, but its totally worth it for a healthy animal.

This is embarrassing, but I've had ringworm. I'm 99% sure I got it from the equipment at my old gym. As nasty as it sounds, it was not that big of a deal. My doctor gave me some cream and it cleared up right away. I also remember my HS boyfriend, who was a wrestler, got it from the wrestling mats a few times.
