For real. This week has sucked. I could use a weekend.
Anyone have awesome plans?
Tonight, gym, then pizza (and copious :drink: ). Tomorrow, we're taking the train to SF in this lovely weather to shop, wander, and look at lights. Sunday, the dog is at the boarding facility until 5pm, so we'll have plenty of time to do something or go somewhere, depending on the weather.
We have a busy weekend planned! Today at work we have a dessert contest and bingo! I made chocolate stout cupcakes with Irish cream frosting as my entry. So delish! Tomorrow, I have some running around to do, then we're dropping DD off to the IL's for an overnight stay as DH and I have his work Christmas party to go to. Sunday we have my family reunion so I have to get up early and make my dish to pass and pick up DD from IL's. Not a whole lot of time for relaxation.
I have been counting down to Friday since Monday! I always do that following several days off from work. Let's see, on Saturday morning I'm getting a pedicure (Living Social deal that expires in just a few days) and after that I will likely run a few errands or shop a little. Need to do some light cleaning at home and a load of laundry. Then later that afternoon is the SEC Championship Game, of which I plan on watching every single second. On Sunday I'm hanging with some friends I haven't seen in a while. Pretty low key weekend.
I'm glad Friday has finally arrived! Tonight I'm going out to dinner and to see Fiddler on the Roof. Tomorrow my mom and I are hanging out and then I'm coming home to get my butt in gear and unpack some more boxes and continue to get organized. Sunday will likely be more unpacking/organizing/trying to get stuff done so I can enjoy the holiday season.
Well, BSC SIL got sent to psych care (long store. Ongoing. I'll post all about it when it's done and over) so my MIL is off at their house kid sitting. Which means I'm doing her barnyard jobs all weekend too. So a lot of work basically.
Otherwise Rubes and I are home today so we're cleaning, catching up on laundry and clearing clutter in prep for Christmas (I vowed this year to clean/organize/declutter before the holidays instead of after..working well so far). Later I have some packages to mail, good will drop off and a few groceries to grab so we'll be heading out.
Hondurican leaves for vacation for a week on Sunday so I have to drive him to the airport shuttle.
Other than that..work hanging out. I need to get some exercise in. Rough week in that department.

Oh wow. As entertaining as your posts are about her and how much we all gawk and laugh at some of them, I truly do hope she's getting the help she needs. That sounds rough, especially for her kids and H, and really your whole family.

I hope so too. Condensened version without going into too much detail. She was diagnosed with PPD about 3 months ago. Drs. medicated her. She lied about how well the drugs were working. Did some weird/scary/dangerous stuff to herself. Sought a counselor. Counselor helped a bit. At Thanksgiving she was crying and just saying weird stuff. Felling judged by us all. Went on a tirade on BIL in an upstairs bathroom over nothing. Went home. Tuesday she went to counseling. Counselor told her something has to give. She needs inpatient for a couple days to get it together, monitor meds, get some serious help. She came home. Flipped out about it. Threatened to leave BIL and take the kids if he took her to the hospital. He called my MIL asked her to come stay with kids and he took her anyways.
He's just done I think. He can't save her alone. He's tired and burned out and looked like he was about to die himself at Thanksgiving. And he's usually like my H, very easy going, happy, fun.
So yes, we're all happy she's there and getting the help she needs. My FIL (Who is the biggest sweetheart, but doesn't always understand stuff out of the realm of his normal) is all worried about what this will do to BILs image, if SIL will be deemed a crazy person etc. Him and I had a long chat about it last night. I said it's the best place for her, she'll get great help and it blows now, but we're all better off (My brother spent a week in psych too about 2 years ago and it totally saved him. He's a whole new guy now. So my perspective is different becuase I've been there).
So yes, I've shut it with the stories lately. It's reached a point where it's not her being her anymore/remotely funny. I feel awful for her but help is truly what she needs and I'm so glad she's getting it.
Mrs.J- I will be heading to SF on Friday. DH has a conference at the Hyatt Regency across from the Ferry Building. While he is in his conference on Monday and Tuesday I will be doing the wandering, shopping, looking at lights and he will join me in the evenings. I am so excited to have a weekend away.
Darn it. I never get to meet anyone from GBCN. I think there was a girl on TN about 5 years ago that posted for a short time that lived near me. That was about it. And, I never met her either.
Tonight we are lighting a fire and watching a movie....I can't wait! Tomorrow we are going to go Christmas shopping and relax. Sunday we have church, a small get together to stop into, and a 2 year old's b-day party to at a game place. Should be a nice quiet weekend!

This afternoon I'll be doing homework (so exciting!). Tonight is our town's annual tree-lighting and wassail tasting on the square, so we'll be hitting that up with a bunch of friends.
Tomorrow I'm going to go running (I've taken off 2 months and I'm ready to get back!), do a Costco run, and then I work from 12-4. I'll be working on homework while at work, and possibly after if I don't finish it all. Then we'll decorate our Christmas tree while watching Elf.
Sunday we volunteer on the welcome team at church and then we have no plans. I might try to get ahead on homework, or we might go hammocking (depending on the weather). Who knows!
Tomorrow we are going to Target really early to get an item from the Target/NM event (unless I order it online) and go to Trader Joes. After that we have to take all four dogs to the vet. Lesson learned...keep up with your pets annual exams, because they can't prescribe for yucky things like worms ((shudder)), unless they have seen them within a year.
I will likely spend the rest of the weekend cleaning and working on stuff for the commitment ceremony we are outfitting. We have a fitting on Monday night with some of the people, but still need to do a little more work on both brides outfits before we can do what will hopefully be their final fittings. I am never outfitting a wedding party or bride again. Remind me of this if I ever mention another wedding. ;p Seriously...it is not worth the money. We have put so much time into this, coming up with designs and patterns, shopping for fabric, etc., only to have people change their minds. rinse.repeat. A bridezillla might have actually been better than two people who over-think everything and can't commit to anything except each other.
