The flight is very long, but anything is doable. What would you guys do for the month while he is working? It is very, very hot there. And I would say you would only need a few days to see pretty much all Singapore has to offer. Knowing that, if you are okay with that, I would go.

well I'm sure it'd be quite a cultual difference to your day to day you do now but I'd do it - simply so dd and I didn't have to be away from dh for a month, and cause it sounds like a fun experience the flight is totally doable too
Could you throw in some weekend trips to nearby destinations during that month? If so, definitely yes.
Singapore is hotter than the center of the sun. Be prepared for lots of indoor activities!
If your daughter is 13 months she's rapidly approaching the age at which she will require a full fare ticket. For now she might be free or 10% of an adult fare (depending on airline). I take that as a vote for "do it while you can". Unless the company will pay for everyones ticket?

I think all international lap children pay 10% of the fare or something similar, none are free
Even if you don't know anyone it's just one month and the plus of being with your H and seeing a new place probably outweighs not having friends in the area for such a short time.
I would definitely do it!
Also, you could try to meet up with other expat moms in the area. I'm sure there is some kind of group, though it might be through the American Women's Club and that requires membership.
Do it! It's a month in your life to do something totally different. I haven't been to Singapore yet, but all my friends have and a bunch have been expats there too. According to them it is really kid-friendly - H.O.T. yes, but kid-friendly. Oh and it rains for 15 minutes every day at some point in the afternoon. If you do go, let me know and I can ask around if my friends know of any drop-in mommy & me classes or someone who could at least help you find your way around.
I would do it, but I love to travel. And having a child won't change that. You could always try to find some people there before you go---ex-pats are generally pretty open like that.
Nw Im thinking more about it. h's company will pay for 3 coach tickets or for him to go first class. They will probably pay for one first class and 2 coach, but we should probably all sit together. Im so torn. We just moved into our new house so we would have to pack for a month in Singapore, and then when I come back I have to return to work (Im a teacher).
Take the one first and 2 coach, and you guys can switch back and forth who sits in coach and who sits in first!
