we are a few episodes behind so it will be a while before i watch it, but that sucks. i imagine they had very limited time to come up w/ the ending? since they just recently found out they weren't renewed maybe they wanted to wrap it up as much as possible and had to change some things around. idk how that stuff works.

I disagree. Hannah is dead, Rex is alive. The ending scene was what Michael was talking about: a dream within a dream. He realizes what aspects of his reality were a dream, so now he can control it. With Rex being his waking reality, Hannah and Rex together is his new dream. That's how he was able to "pause" his therapist and walk into his new dream, if it was real he would have just woken up instead of walking through that door.
Plus, the creator of the show said one was definitely a dream and one of them has been dead all along, and the finale was filmed before they knew they were canceled and with the opener of the second season in mind.

Wow I never thought of it that way! I was so happy for him when he saw both of them standing together in the kitchen. I knew it was cheesy, but I wanted so bad for them to both be alive for him. I think most people (like me and H originally thought last night) are going to assume it was all just a dream and they're still a happy family all together.

I wish more of the seaon would have been like the finale and maybe it wouldn't have gotten cancelled!
I liked it. I also thought that Hannah and Rex together was his new dream.
I saw on my TV guide thing on my TV that it said ithis was part one of a two part season finale, but it seemed like this episode was the end. I guess maybe they cut it short since the series was cancelled? I thought that was weird.

Hmmmm- I hadn't thought of that! I thought it was all just a dream, too- and I was VERY disappointed that the writers took the easy way out for the finale. Now I wish I hadn't erased it from the DVR, so I could watch it again; and follow it with your point of view!
