I am taking food over for brother and sil tomorrow and I want to make sure what I have sounds good. I am making Jumbalaya right now and I put together a freezer crock pot chicken teriyaki. I threw in crock pot liners, lemonade, juice, broccoli, salad, and chocolates. Is that silly? Should I add anything else?
that sounds great. i don't think wine is necessary, but if you want to. are you bringing the food ready-to-eat? i would bring some ready to eat food, in addition to something for their freezer. and can you share the crockpot/frozen chicken teriyaki recipe?
I thought the wine would be silly, but I always like to be prepared I looked up recipes online but they all seemed to be - pineapple - ginger - garlic - teriyaki sauce - chicken - veggies
I found a yummy looking sauce, added garlic, chicken, and a lot of veggies. I am thinking it needs to be cooked on low about 6 hours or so...
These amazing things that sort of look like plastic bags that you put in your crock pot so cleanup is ridiculously easy. I love them. I figured they would come in handy with two wee ones.

omg, you're the best sister!!! where do you get these liners? i need them.. and that recipe. i don't make anything in my crockpot and i should, that would make life easier!
thank you. i've never heard of them. but i also rarely use my crock pot. i feel like everything always sorta tastes the same.. i always want something amazing to come out of there and instead i feel like whatever i'm eating is really bad for me. this is probably mental.
