I stopped taking birth control at the end of August and since then my periods have been only 2-3 days and most of that is light. I've been on Bc for 10ish years, but I feel like periods used to be more of an ordeal before Bc.
I was on the pill for 10 years too, and now my periods are medium for two days, and then like 2-3 more days of light. On average they last 4 days tho, and only the first two kind of suck.
Some people just get lucky and don't have heavy periods I would say that so long as the blood isn't brown the whole time (like only old blood is shedding) and that it's red, it's good period blood.
This sounds disgusting, but it's actually really important to check out the kind of blood you've got going on down there periodically. It'll tell you a lot.
I went off bc in August too, and my first period off the pill was horrible but since then, just typical cramps the first day, and then it's as I mentioned before.

Not necessarily.
My periods were always 6-7 days before BC. Then I was on the pill for... six or seven?years. Since I quit almost three years ago, my periods are only 4 days. WIN.
But you've had, about two periods since quitting? It's hard telling this early if things are at their new normal, or if things are still adjusting.
Last month was my first month temping and my Lp was 11 days. I used opks the month before and from that I thought my Lp was only 9 days with spotting before... but I also ran my first marathon that month and I don't know if that messed with my cycle.
I was hoping to be pregnant before I would have to figure this all out
Oh, and spell check keeps changing opks to opossum. So if I miss one in the future just know that I'm not using opossums for anything!!
Starting brown is totally normal. You will be checking out a lot of what is going on with your vag fluids nowadays and you should know nothing is tmi here. Seriously. We like, cheer people on when they get ewcm! lol

thanks for the link, I guess I'm wondering why that would be so bad for it to be brown. My 1st period after coming off BC was red the first day and than its been brown and only spotting the rest of the time... should this worry me?

It took almost a year for my periods to regulate after BC. The first 3 months were normal-ish and then for the next 6 or so months, it was totally wonky.
