Any thoughts? There's so.much.beige right now. Painting is not an option atm since the ceilings are very tall, and we'd have to repaint basically everything since it's an open floor plan. Thank you!
ETA: For curtains, I'll have to pick out fabric and have them made since there's another set of windows above the ones shown. So if you have any fabric ideas that I can order, that would be even better.
That door goes to the backyard. Attached is a picture towards the entrance. From where I'm standing when taking the first picture is the entrance to the living room. This is a casual family room, and there's a tv not pictured on the right side.
The ceilings are 2 story ceilings, with the balcony upstairs overlooking the room. The windows are about 1.5 stories high.
I think the best way to describe my taste is transitional. I don't like full-on modern. No chevron, but I like other geometric patterns. I love swirls like in the rug. I suck at mixing patterns which is why I'm having such a terrible time with this. As far as colors go, I really like earthy colors with either blues or reds. I also love beachy colors and grays, but I think I'll be going earthy for most of the house. I am leaning towards blues, but maybe red would be better.
Thank you for your help! I'll add some more pictures as well.
Thank you! And thanks for saying you see no mess. I just know there's a few toys I didn't move out of the way and clutter on the counter. Nothing major like some of the rooms that are a disaster still.
I do like those curtains! I'm going to put them on my list to consider. I wonder if I should do a print but not a solid like you said. Our last house was solid curtains, and I was hoping to be a little more adventurous with the patterns with this house. Just not sure how to do that...
As for being frugal, this is why I don't want to paint right now. I would love to paint, but it's not in the budget right now because I will NOT do that myself. It would require scaffolding, and I'm just not up for it. Maybe in a couple of years we'll paint the open areas. For now, we're painting the closed-off areas.
