I think I had my multiple cases of thrush while you were on a nest hiatus but it ultimately was the reason I quit. So be sure to mention thrush in your article!
This is random but when Designing Women used to come on TV, one the characters, Charlene, was very much into La Leche League and Suzanne Sugarbaker always pronounced it "La Leaky".
Stickying this is a gross abuse of power! It's not BOTB you know.
IMO ML should have a parenting subboard, so that this thread could be moved and stickied there, without having to offend the non-breeders. Also, ML makeup and ML TIP, probably ML Food too.
frkls, you helped 'me' because I paged you to go help somebody over on PCE you may/maynot have ever posted with, and you posted a novel and a half for her. So, that's initiative & leadership, BOOYA.
Initial over supply and one super boob were my problems too. (and last night was the first time I didn't wear a pad to bed!!)
Since this is for LLL leaders, can you please talk about how your attitude of positive support is so helpful to us. Honestly, all the LLL people around here are so pushy and really pressure mothers into breast feeding. They don't provide support for exclusive pumpers or moms who want to wean. That is by far the most helpful thing you provide is your support and your cheerleading no matter what we decide to do. It was so nice knowing that you were here to help us. Thank you for being here Frkls.
You helped me with adoptive BFing, even though I ultimately decided against it because Freddie has milk issues. And I sent another a-mom to you because you're the BFing guru 'round these parts

Answer this question and you can add another one to your article - My 13 week old has been eating every 2 hours for the last two days (still STTN just fine). My boobs only feel full over night, nothing in my diet has changed, and I'm still drinking a boat ton of water. I'm thinking it's a growth spurt, but I'm worrying that it is supply issues. How do I know?

You have helped me in tons of ways! You've given me advice on boosting supply, foremilk/hindmilk imbalance, uhhh...I have a terrible memory but you have always been there with support and advice for all of us. Also, I pm'd you, answer me!!
I got wonderful advice and support even though for me, bf was never going to happen. Even without K's health issues, I never had a great supply and I think it was tough for the babies to even get the milk. That said, I think it is really important to tell women that it is ok if for some reason they are not able to BF.
I was shattered when it did not work with C. I was not prepared for how incredibly tough it is , how so many things can impact your supply and just emotionally how devastated I felt. I felt like i was failing my baby. So, I would stress to women that they are still a great mother and doing what they should even if that means giving formula either completely or supplemental. You and countless others gave me such encouragement and reassurance when I was going through this and, at the end of the day, I think that is what is needed.
I did not know you were lll!!! I have concerns about pumping when i go back to work. Bab mentioned using fenugreek to boost her supply when she pumped. Is this a good long term solution if i look to pump for 4+ months? How would i increase permanently if the boys start drinking more but i can only nurse 1-2 times a day? Should i pump or nurse if i can work from home a.few days a week?

Total lurker here
I would read (very often) ML before TN blew up and found your advice extremely helpful. I now have a 4 week old (who is thankfully finally napping) and realize that his pattern is extremely normal- even though cluster feeding drives me insane.
When my sister (who lurks) told me she was pregnant, I was all, "You need to reach out to my good friend frkls, the pastor's wife who threatens to cutabitch with all your BFing concerns! She's fantastic!" and she thought it was awesome there was someone here who was a bit of an expert.
