Ugh another one of my kids needs OT. So now we are spending $600/month for therapies for the kids and I think I should probably go to every other month for my therapy
That is so expensive. Is OT thru your school system not sufficient/the kids require more intense than that?
They don’t qualify because our HHI is too high for the severity (which is not super bad but bad enough it causes problems at school).
Ds1 (8.5) has social skills once a week & OT (fine and gross motor skills) once a week = $100/wk
Ds3 (3) has OT (fine motor skills) once a week = $50/wk
The sad thing is this is the coat WITH in network insurance. Hopefully we hit our OOP max soon ….

I have a random lawyer question: if someone makes partner, is their last name is included in the agency? Like Smith, Rodger, and Hammer Associates?
There are different kinds of partnerships…like equity partner (no name added)and the other is name partner (name added). I’m not really sure what the financial contribution difference is but I think there is a difference in rank.
I started researching family vacay to London and wow, I didn’t know it would be minimum of $1000 per person for flights. I don’t know what I expected ; I just haven’t flown internationally in like 15 years.
Keep looking! We went in June and paid around $800.
We are having Ds2s party here in 2 weeks and I’m panicking about an unstyled house. Hopefully we can rent a pavilion at the local park instead.
A friend is OOT and her husband is a great dad but so unconfident in solo parenting luckily our kids he along great so we have been helping out (DH is friends with the H as well)
Wow ssmjlm, 4 is a lot all at once! Poor thing, that sounds miserable.
We get a 4 day weekend due to Tuesday being a teacher professional development day. We have a pool party cookout to go to Monday, other than that no set plans. Will likely go on a hike one day and bike to downtown for lunch another day.
West Elm is on my last nerve over DD's new bed. I ordered it with a mid Sept/early Oct delivery date. A few days later my tracking showed it was backordered and del was late Jan/mid Feb. I called and they said the website doesn't always update right away. 13 days later and still doesn't show it is on backorder and still has original del date. I called and more beds are coming in 2 weeks and I "might" get one of them. If not I'm canceling.
I ended up cancelling a coffee table from them for the same reason. Now I need to find another one but it was “in stock shipping soon” when I ordered and then back ordered for months 😕
I finally started watching How to Get Away With Murder and while it’s good I feel like it’s already trying to hard with GOTCHA storylines and I only just started season 2.
I’m still on waitlist for several dermatologist and the 2 exzema types I have aren’t responding to OTC stuff 😕
I was beat and did the Netflix surprise me thing and Selling the OC was selected. This show is so weird in so many ways. Vapid excess. High emotion. Everything that makes America and reality TV look like trash. Backstabbing. Support for 45. Etc.
But the first thing that truly shocked me was Gio's mom's face. Google it.
Have you watched the whole season? I have a question.
I really want to see Fredrik Backman, but he's not coming anywhere near Colorado. I feel like it's silly to fly to another state to see an author and my hesitation is probably going to mean that tickets sell out and the decision will be made for me.
I had a soccer game at 8:45 tonight. That is just too late. It's now 10:00 and I am wide awake. I have a game at 10:30 in October. Ridiculous.
eta: Alright, his Dallas event has virtual tickets. Problem solved. I'll just do that.
🤞 that ds3 doesn’t need OT (I’m waiting for him during his eval right now). We already spend $480/mo on therapies for DS1 and another kid in it would really stretch the budget.
I did 2 years ago and it was one of the best decisions of my life. Will you be getting diastasis recti repair at the same time (I did)?
Is this the same as muscle repair? If so, yes.
yes - diastasic recti is the name for the separation of the muscle.
I had so much back pain before my surgery and it is mostly gone (minus age related stuff). Insurance didn't cover any of it but it was the best $17k I have ever spent.
I found large set for over the couch but am not sure if the piece I have next to it is too small? Wdyt? Maybe if I move it higher?
Curtains will be hung so everything will move to the right a bit & a small cocktail table is going between the couch and the cabinet. Maybe just moving the smaller piece higher?
For what it’s worth this is what my recovery was like
1 week of absolute complete care. 2nd week you can start to care for yourself but not kids. 3rd week you can be a contributing member of the house but still need to sit and rest A LOT 5th week - could stand fully straight and could watch the kids for like 2 hours at a time max and then I needed a good rest. 6th week - could resume housework
I would also recommend -get the exparel -wear mumus -wear post C-section underwear or depends so your incision isn’t irritated -get a seat with handles for the toilet & shower -have a handheld shower head -A walker with a fold down seat -one of those grabber grabber things (you know the sticks with the grabby bit at the end)
All of this seems excessive but really made my recovery easier and gave me independence sooner.

I've not had this. But I did go for my preliminary consultation. They are putting it through insurance with a letter from my primary and chiro. The wait for insurance was 2 months. I have another 3 weeks to wait, then I will call or they will call me to schedule. It's just the reduction though. I have no idea how far out that they are scheduling...
My question is anyone know is, do I need to purchase/ borrow a recliner to sleep in? If I am in pain, I don't really want to sleep in the same bed as DH and be constantly waking him up getting pain meds. I'll need him alert so that he can take care of all the other stuff.
Yes but the recliner! I got a power lift one on Amazon for $300 and slept in it for 3 months. I added pillows to it at night to make it extra comfy.
My son’s PTSA has a company that does all the school supplies. You pay like $50-$80 in May, and then pick them all up on the last day of school. So much easier and the PTSA gets a small cut.
We have this too and it’s awesome! Our school used EduKit.
Have you tried any meds except Wellbutrin? When I was just on Wellbutrin my anxiety was really high and that’s apparently somewhat common. I’m now on a lower dose of that and added Zoloft.
-sheet pan fajitas (premartinated chicken from Trader Joes roasted with frozen bell peppers) -leftover fajitas quesadillas (chop leftovers & mix with cheese)
