Ow!
I am really over work these days. We are so busy that I don't want to do anything and then I just stress all the time. But here I am. Tooling around on the internet.
This morning I decided to see if I could stretch my hair washing routine from every 3 days to every 4. It is now clear the answer is absolutely not. I look super greasy today =/
Have you tried dry shampoo? I didn't want to wash on day 3 and used it. It worked so well!

I'm sure it doesn't look as bad as you think.
Confession: I washed my hair this past Saturday evening (Dec. 1) after I was done moving. Prior to that, I'm pretty sure the last time I'd washed my hair was the day before Thanksgiving (Nov. 21). The funny thing is that my hair actually looked really good most of the time.
I think Sadie has another uti :-(. I just hope it's just that and nothing serious b/c she already had surgery earlier this year for bladder stones. My PG hormones can't take her being sick plus right before the holidays.
Just waiting on DH to call me back to see if they can get her in today and if he can take her after work.
Today is my Friday and I seriously can't wait for a day to myself tomorrow. Last weekend I painted Fri, Sat, Sun and it sucked. I'm doing what I want tomorrow.
DH is getting on my nerves. I know he's exhausted on days that he has to take care of DD before he goes to work (he works 2nd shift), but it's not like I'm sleeping in or going to the spa- I have to go to work. I'm tired, too. What does he want me to do? Arrgh.
Oh I have another. I ordered some clothes from the GAP on cyber Monday. They just shipped yesterday, except looking this morning they didn't actually get to FedEx until today. Which means thanks to the awesomeshittyness that is smart post I won't actually get the items until probably next Wednesday.
I did use dry shampoo, but I think trying to go an extra day coupled with the fact that I had a super intense/sweaty workout last night was not a good combo.
Angryharpy, I'm super impressed you were able to go that long between washings!
Oh yeah, I wasn't really working out during that time span. I was taking care of a friend's dog for a bit, so there were two walks a day, but nothing super intense. I rinsed it a few times and often just sprayed with water to refresh the curls. I probably shouldn't have gone that long, but in the days right befor emy move, I was just too tired to care.
I'm tired of coming home and having the house look exactly the same, if not worse, then when I left. My H is unemployed, he couldn't put away the laundry or clean the cat's dishes or something?

It is my Friday today too! So excited! I am going to finish Christmas shopping tomorrow, and spend the afternoon with my youngest DD.
I am in an unusually good mood this Holiday season so far. I typically hate the Holiday season and all the stresses that come with it. (money, family, travel, weather, lack of time)
I have five vacation days left that I can't carry over to next year. I think I can use three of them in the days after Christmas, but our work schedule is so tight (thanks to my manager being laid off) that IDK if I'll be able to take the other two.
I've been here six months and only took time off when my dad died. I was supposed to take two vacation days in November to coincide with MH's time off from school, but he had to go in on those days since the hurricane ate up so many school days.
WTF, man. I'm pissed that they're just going to go to waste. And I haven't gotten approval for the three days yet.
Our shipment comes tomorrow, to the new house. I just realized I don't have any plans for DS ... So basically I will direct traffic for the movers/unpacking crew and entertain my 2 year old all day. I'm nervous. A nap won't happen, that is for sure.
I've watched the video of Mariah Carey singing Christmas songs with Jimmy Fallon and the Roots an embarrassing number of times in the last 24 hours.
Also, I caved on extending an extra credit deadline for one of my classes since I just couldn't listen to them whine anymore. Now I'll have to rush to grade everything at the end of the semester.

I think our cleaning lady is angling for a Christmas tip. Yesterday, in addition to cleaning the whole house, she paired all of H's orphan socks (they were sitting in a bag on the floor in his office) and collected all the collar stays that he left sitting around the house and organized them by size.
Don't worry, we already planned to give her a generous tip.
We got our holiday card from our building staff last night. Our building now has 20 people on staff (previously 16). That's a fuckload of people to give a holiday tip to :-(
I feel like hell--pounding headache, chills, and nausea. I'd take a sick day, but it is the one day in the entire year my dept. hosts a high school welcome day. The walls will be crawling with 300 students, and I'm scheduled to teach to workshops in the afternoon, and I feel obligated to at least try.

WTF Gap, WTF.
Same thing happened to me. I think I am so spoiled with fast shipping.
My J.Crew Factory Black Friday purchase still hasn't arrived. Grrrr.

how does your building handle it? We can give whatever amount we choose and the recipients just know who gave, not who gave what (supposedly).
