Tamb, I'm so sorry to hear this. I know how hard this can be; I went through something similar with my dad. Like another poster said, spend as much time with him as you can.

I'm sorry. I hope the doctors find a treatment that will help. Also, as PP have said, you don't have to be on deaths doorstep to utilize hospice. I do understand why your mom is hesitant to have them involved, but I hope she changes her mind. Sending good thoughts your way.
