I loved Memoirs of a Geisha too, but I LOVED LOVED that movie more.
Oh really? I thought the opposite.
I can't think of a movie I like more than the book, but it's usually cool to see the story come to life. The key to me enjoying them is not to read the book too close to seeing the movie.
I might get flamed for this, but Little Women. I couldn't even get through the book. I got stuck when Jo is in New York, and just couldn't get through the boring.

REALLY? I that book! I grew up with 3 sisters, so I felt like it was reading about ourselves (or who we wanted to be.)
I forgive you though, since you at least like the movie.
Oh, I loved the movie! I watched it over and over again, which may have been part of the reason why the book seemed to drag. I enjoyed it well enough up until New York, and then I just lost all interest.
