I have pics of the kids for my Mom but that is not really for her, you know. And I have no ideas. She is 70 but very stylish, active ( plays golf & bridge), and loves technology ( she is a pro on her iPad). Any ideas? Thanks!
Jo Malone cologne, body lotion, and shower gel A William Morris umbrella A new cutting board An address stamper A few pieces of salt glaze pottery And subscriptions to Early American Home and Country Living
Calendar with pics of the kids, small photo keychain with more pics of the kids (she asked for this), and a costco membership gift card. Every year she rigs the family gift draw so that Dh or I get her name and we have to get her a costco card every time. It saves her from having to pay it and I can't argue with that.
A makeup and brush organizer. Her bathroom is a disaster of makeup items and it drives me insane every time we are there. The counter is literally covered in tumblers of pencils and brushes and individual cases of blush and eyeshadow. No room for anything else. Not that I think she will actually use it, but I'm hoping she gets the hint.
I got her season 1 of two older TV shows. I figure I can add to the series as other gift occasions come up. She loves old TV and doesn't have cable (MM mom!). I also ordered her a photo calendar of DD.
She said she wanted our old home movies converted to DVDs, so rather than send them away for processing I just bought her a converter to DIY.
I also bought a pack of writeable DVDs, and pajamas. Will also pick up scratch-offs and maybe some stocking stuffers since Dad always filled her stocking.
I got my mom some nice pajamas, a bunch of bath and body works stuff, a stila lip gloss set, and ice cream toppings from a store she used to go to as a child.

My mom: teak shower bench, new address stamp, lavender thing you heat up and put around your neck, magnet DS made, Big Bang Theory Season 1, GC to Starbucks and B&N.
MIL: birthstone pendant necklace from RedEnvelope, stemless wine glasses, photo calendar
We picked names, so I only got her something small. She asks for a calendar from each kid's family, so we did that for her. I'm also sending an Edible Arrangements basket for Christmas Eve
Printer ink. lol. I know, but she asked for it. She hates that it costs like $100 for her printer so my sister and I each bought her one.
I also got her a bunch of these mini soaps and a sudoku book.
Last year we got her a cover and a stylus for her iPad, and an iTunes gift card. The year before that we went in with my brother and sister and got her a laptop. The year before that we got her a lasagna / roasting pan and some other little kitchen things, and the year before that, Carolina Herrera 212 perfume and Philosophy Hope In A Jar (she already used and liked it). And that's as far back as my gift list goes. lol.
I got her these hideous Skecher shoes she wanted, the book Gone Girl, a planner, a Christmas ornament from her fav vacation spot, and a necklace from Ann Taylor.
My dad got her (he paid, I picked it out): a bunch of sweaters from Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor loft, including a nice cashmere sweater, some weights for the pool (she likes water aerobics), and chocolates filled with booze.
A 'monogram' necklace with DD's initials, a stadium chair (one for her and my dad), an infinity/loop scarf, and a GC for her and my dad's favorite restaurant.

Tickets to see Mary Poppins the Musical with my sister and I and a stocking from Pottery Barn Kids that she will love (she is a figure skating coach and the stocking has a skater that looks a lot like she looked as a kid). I'm also going to get her a penguin ornament and other penguin stuff to go with the Mary Poppins theme.

I could use one more thing for my mom too I got her Forgetting Sara Marshall, the new Aersomith CD, a new Rolling Stones DVD they just released from one of their old tours, and polar bear partylite candle holder, and a zen like DS game
A necklace, a couple tops, a Scentsy warmer, a few kitchen things she wanted, and a GC for a gas station. In her stocking, I got a glass elephant (she collects them), mascara, eye shadow, a Bare Minerals sample kit, HGTV magazine subscription, shower gel, a day planner, Scentsy wax, a GC to a local store, and pill organizers that she keeps mentioning she wants.
