Another lurker here. I post occasionally, mostly when I'm home from work. I can only get on GBCN on my phone at work, so my posting time is limited. Like the others, though, I'm intimidated to join a group that's already pretty close knit.
I'll chime in with the rest of the lurkers....although I've posted some things, I just never seem to be able to keep up with the board. As pps have said, by the time I get a chance to respond, someone else seems to have made my point already...and I don't want to just chime in with "I agree!".
I'm definitely an introvert, but due to my job (I'm an academic adviser at a college), I tend to spend most of my day talking, so when I get home, I'm often pretty drained and quiet. I'm also working full time, and finishing my doctorate in education...so that keeps me pretty busy.
I'm going to try and post more though! I'll be done with school in July (fingers crossed!!) and theoretically will have more time then.
delawarejen - I agree about the intimidation of posting when you're not married. I lurked on TN and related more to people there than most of the people on TK. I still post on TK (I'm even a mod on my month board.. haha) but I don't post that often on the big boards because it's usually someone looking for drama and people just feeding into it. Not that it never happens on TN or here, but it seems to be a little less often.
Anyways, back to the not married thing. I felt weird posting on TN when I wasn't married yet. I kinda felt like it was like TB - no point in posting there since I'm not pregnant or a mom right? So I just lurked. Followed people over here to see what it was like and still felt weird posting before we get married. Especially on you know, a board called "married life" haha (I've only posted/lurked there a few times, more often here, CE&P, H&F and less often S&B). I've kind of decided I don't care about that anymore. I'll be married in a couple months anyways - it's not like I'll magically be a totally different person!
I don't know if I'm a lurker or not. I was fairly active on TN, on my local and occasionally on MM, but with the switch, I only really have time to be active on my local.
I still post here every once in a while but I feel like a lurker.
It's very cool to see so many lurkers coming out! As I said before, I'm a long time lurker from TN. 2006 I think. I mainly lurked on the Wi and MM boards. I'm 36, married for 6 yrs, have a DD that is 2 1/2, and 7 weeks pregnant with our second. At any moment I feel like I could barf my brains out. Thanks everyone for being so welcoming. It is not what I remember from my early days on TN.
I've been lurking for years as well. I started lurking on the knot in 2006. I can't remember exactly how long I've been reading MM. I always thought I would start posting at some point, but after a while it seemed too awkward.
I am also teacher and I live in Minnesota. There seems to be quite a few of us in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Most of the action happens during the day, so it seems weird to chime in hours after the conversation is over.
This is why I don't post more. I have a lot of opinions , but the thread is often dead by the time I get to reading it. I try to stay off during the day -- even lurking can kill my productivity!

To continue on with my "de-lurking" I will say that I do not live in WI, but I figured out that a semi-regular poster does live in the same city as I do.
I have no idea who Doctor Who is, but I did find out about Girls from MM and I am super excited to watch the premier next Sunday!!
I am also a long time lurker. I started on TK in 2005 when planning my wedding. I occasionally posted there and then on TN after the wedding. I found MM in 2006 when we realized we really needed to get our huge credit card debt under control ($20k+). Within two years we had dug ourselves out, saved an efund, and opened retirement accts.
We live just outside of Boston with our 19 month old daughter and our lab, Lulu. Add another lawyer to the list: I am a 7th year associate at a small law firm in Boston doing all litigation work.

Oooh, who is it?
Also, maybe we should rename this board the Wisconsin board. There sure are a lot of you!
Hm, interesting, I'm also in MN :-) Central MN but I'm from a St. Paul suburb!
Really? I am in small town Central MN, but grew up Nordeast Mpls.
Nice! I live/work in the "big city" around here.. haha. Some of my coworkers consider this "city living" and I'm sorry but I have to laugh because to me this is like a small town! Anyways, hi neighbor! :-)
