My new years resolution was to keep to my grocery budget of $700/month. I'm at $626, so I think I'm going to make it this month! I'll have to go out to get milk at some point this week and the pork for Wed night, but other than that I'm pretty set. I'm going to hold off on my big Costco trip until Friday (the 1st!). LOL.

I do my main grocery shopping every two weeks. I will buy some veggies, milk, baby formula, some kid snacks and bread to fill in. I shopped today and spent $140. I will probably spend another $75ish in the next two week on the previously named items. Total for 2 weeks for a family of 5 (including a 9-month-old) I aim for $240 and I should be under that this time. That amount does not include eating out for date nights but does include all breakfasts and lunches. Tonight- Dinner at a friend's home. We are bringing cookies. I'm making pretty much everything for the week tomorrow. I just started working again, and we are REALLY struggling to find our groove in the hour between when I get home and when DD goes to bed. I'm hoping doing everything ahead of time will help, since DH gets home an hour before us and can throw stuff in the oven.

H is traveling this week, so it's just me. I love these weeks. My plans are:
Monday: potato chips. Yes, a bag of potato chips. Tuesday: Nachos. Weds: pepperoni and olive pizza Thurs: something with olives and avocado. I don't know what yet though. Friday: something nice for DH since this is the day he comes home.
H does the same thing when I travel. We've found we may as well plan junk food, because other wise we don't eat anything.
