I had the paraguard and insertion was a little painful (took aleve for 24 hours, wouldn't have minded a percocet) as was removal, but overall, that would not dissuade me from getting it again. However, I already had painful periods and paraguard made them so heavy and painful I became non-functional.
I might try Mirena, I've heard the insertion is less painful and it makes your period light or not at all.
Mirena ladies, does Mirena affect your sex drive the way the pill does? I'm so sick of the low libido effect of the pill. (All this is for endometriosis, not BC, for those of you who remember I'm married to a woman)
