I'm an overachiever. Going to try for a post a day. Now that the Boston board is on the sidebar it's easier to remember to come over here.
This weather is crazy. I couldn't see 100 feet in front of me while driving today.
My new mission is to become a Starbucks Gold member. I am doing this solely to receive the gold card with my name on it. Only 18 stars to go! (I lost mine all on 12/31)
I went suit shopping for what I'm hoping is an imminent interview (fingers crossed!). I tried on a $400 suit and a $80 one. I hate both. I looked like a kid playing dress up, all the pants were baggy on me. I'm not a tiny person, but I guess I need to look for a slimmer cut. Thinking of going to one of the mall stores (NY&Co, Limited) since I might need to choose fit over quality.
Tonight is date night. We are going to have dinner and drinks at the 99. Nice, laid-back kinda night.

Where did you go suit shopping? I've had good luck finding suits at Macy's, but I'm probably a foot shorter than you so I don't know how helpful this is.
Have fun on your date night!
My random: I now have dark circles under my eyes. I need more sleep!
fuddyduddy - I went to Macy's, the big one in Bedford. No luck. I loved one of the jackets, but it was part of a 2 piece suit and wouldn't look good without it's matching pants.
Maybe I should drive into Boston and go suit shopping. And eat lots of yummy, can't buy in NH food.
You need Benefit Erase Paste for under the eyes, until you can get out of what I call "sleep debt".

hulley - I'm sorry you didn't find anything there. Suit shopping is difficult. I think going shopping and dining in MA is a fantastic idea.
I don't think I'll be in the black as far as "sleep debt" goes for quite a while, sadly. Thanks for the concealer recommendation. I might actually give it a try. I don't want to look as exhausted as I feel!
Found. Only responded to the HAS ANYONE MET HER??? post. Still thinking how best to procede. Fuckers.
Fuckers is right. Sometimes things happen the non-traditional way. I met H and was engaged within 4 months. We've been together (happily) 7 years, under very similar circumstances (minus the baby).
I hate that this type of things makes other people reluctant to post for advice because they know they will get flamed. Life happens.

ML is being a collective snatch over all this. I haven't posted about it because I don't want to get in the middle of everything, but damn some of those posts are mean.
Also, if rikki reads this, I have some Maine coast recs if you decide to go north instead of south.
I can't beleive how warm out it is. It's actually hot in my office today. Since I work in the dorms the heat gets set at one temp so we can't change it whether we're hot or cold.
Screw them. They aren't happy unless they have someone else's happiness to rain on. Ignore.
Did you see my post to you on MM? Yes, you are absolutely taking in a lot over a short period of time, but I think you have a good head on your shoulders.
I've been in your shoes. My XH asked for a divorce out of the blue. Our situation was nearly identical, right down to the fact that XH and I were trying to get pregnant. I met my now-H about a month after XH moved out. We moved in together after about 2 months, and were engaged after knowing each other only 4.5 months. We've been together for almost 7 years now. We hardly ever fight, we are still very much in love, and I feel (still) very safe being myself around him. It's very natural. We are best friends. I can say with certainty that I knew he was "the one" within a few days of meeting him.
The only difference between us and you guys is that I was not pregnant. I say, if you're happy, enjoy the happiness and wherever it leads you.
Just quit them. Don't quit us! I really don't get where they're coming from. You fell in love, you guys are having a kid together, you're not 17, but getting married at 29 to the man you love and father of your child is the worst decision ever??? WTF?

I agree with all of this.
Agreed. You've had enough life experience to know what you are doing here. Ignore them, and do what you think is best, it's your life.
I just started posting so I don't really know you Rikki, but I agree with everything the above posters have said. Do what makes you happy and don't let them bring you down!
And if you decide to have a DW let me know I did a DW in KW and it was low stress and lovely.

I drove by the Macy's in Bedford today, it's almost like we hung out!
I bought 3 chocolate coconut Stoli nips planning on having them awhile, then drank them all tonight.
My kids are sick and miserable, I can't wait for the weekend when my husband is home to share the miserable-ness.
I fell asleep at meditation tonight and only woke up because a baby cried in the next room and I thought it sounded like my kid. Driving home I had to watch the line on the right side of the road it was so foggy, I couldn't see anything!
I had cheese fries last Saturday and they were so good I'm still thinking about them.

Chocolate coconut Stoli sounds amazing! I'll have to keep an eye out next time I'm at the liquor store. I <3 cheese fries. Actually, I love most food
hulley, I think Macy's has an awful suit selection. It also depends on which store you go to, though. Definitely try some of the mall stores.
Thanks. I agree, I had been told by several people that it was the place to go, but seriously I found like 3 suits in the whole section that weren't sequins/beaded for a special event. Not that I don't love a good sequined blazer, but somehow I don't think that's the impression I want to give when interviewing
I have to brave this weather today anyway, perhaps I will head to a mall store after my appointment.
Just wanted to thank you for all of your support and good wishes! (heart)
((hugs)) lady! How are you doing? I was so impressed with your poise and grace after all that crap yesterday.
I am well. I stopped reading the threads on both MM and ML and spent the night watching old Bachelor episodes on DVR. I am meeting a friend for lunch and have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning that i am looking forward to!
Also, I got 6 really kind messages from other Nesties that were very sweet, as well as a couple of emails and texts. That really warmed my heart and made it a little easier.
