I think it depends on the person. I have a good friend who has always been very goth. At 45 she can still rock stuff I wouldn't have been able to pull of at any time in my life. It's truly just who she is and it works for her.

I don't think there's an age that's too old, it's more so that professions typically require natural hair colors. If you own a tattoo shop, keep your hair pink for all I care.
I've got pink in my hair. It's in my bangs and in the back. I work in corporate legal. Fuck anyone who cares. I definitely get more compliments than side-eyes.
I also tattooed both my wrists a few years ago and ended up sitting right across from the VP/general counsel at lunch the next day. She's pretty stuffy, but she complimented them.
Really, if someone questioned my ability to do my job because of the color of my hair I'd laugh right in their face.
If you ask my mil there is no cutoff age. She is planning on coloring hers fire engine red with black tips and shaving half of get head with long bangs in the front.

I think it depends on the person. Some people have the personality to pull it off at pretty much any age. I don't think I'd do my whole head a funky color, but sometimes I do like to put one bright streak or some small highlights in a crazy color. (I am 34 and work in an office, though our industry tends to be a little more laid back.)
