Why the hell is it so slow?

I'm trying to get someone to update my website and the only guy who is actively responding charges $100/hr. I need to know exactly how much these changes could cost before I hire him. argh!!

My loan company took another almost $1800 today for a non IBR payment. I called and again, for the 12342435th day in a row couldn't get someone to answer. Good news is that I pressed a key that said that my next payment it $90 so I guess I got approved for IBR! Yay!

I'm starving and making dinner early.

I get pissy when people get out of tickets. Either talk your way out of it on the spot or pay it down for no points. I think it's messed up to put other people's jobs at risk. I like to think that these kinds of people are the ones who will get flat tires from pot holes that their ticket money could go toward. Tickets are there for a reason, multiple reasons.

I am a speed queen and I admit it.   I get speeding tickets and I deal with them because guess what - I made the choice to break the law.  Sure I might piss and moan about paying the fine but I pay it.

But I also get flat tires from pot holes because my tires are fucking low profile ones and cannot take a beating.   
As a side note, I learned the hard way that my current vehicle does not have a spare tire in the trunk, in fact they do not even make a spare for my car because the front and rear tires are 2 different sizes.   So when I blow a tire, I have to get towed.

I get lots of speeding tickets and lots of tows.

Yeah, I've gotten one ticket and damn it I was pissed but you know what, I made the mistake.  I didn't look and turned and caused an accident and yeah I'm really really freaking mad that my premiums went up and that I messed up my car and owed the city of StupidHead $400 but damnit if I don't think I have a right to complain about their potholes when I drive through there now! haha

My mom has those tires and HATES them!  She has a spare though but yeah, she blew out 7 in a year.

Wow I didn't know you could get a flat tire from a pothole. Good to know since it's pothole season now in pothole land. I also wonder if I would know how to change a flat tire. I know I have the spare tire in my trunk but I don't know if I have the other necessary tools back there.

Common practice does NOT make it okay. I agree 100% with MCC. Talk it down, whatever, but putting people's jobs at risk to "lose" your paperwork? Fuck no. I don't like letting other people take the fall for YOUR dirty work, because if they get caught doing that, it's THEIR job, not yours. It reeks of irresponsibility and entitlement that other people should do things for you. It pisses me right the fuck off. Be like every other person and cry, flirt, whatever, but once you have the ticket, fucking pay it!!!! Also-it's ILLEGAL! Flirting your way out, getting it reduced in court, all these things are legal. Use your connections to get the ticket lowered, not make it illegally and suspiciously disappear. Don't fuck with other people's jobs because you don't want a fucking point on your license. Be a fucking adult.

That said, I like Starburst, I just don't think she thought through all the implications here.

I don't want to do a sample 709 for my estate planning class. Taxes are stupid(hard). I'll hire a CPA if I need to for any future clients' estate tax needs.

I was told in 2012 that if I got another speeding ticket that year, it was a mandatory $500 ticket.    They always write them for "excessive speed" rather than a number, though, so it doesn't go on my insurance.  On the plus side- I did not get another speeding ticket in 2012!  Not because I quit speeding, just because I didn't get caught.  The trick is to not speed around campus.

That reminds me I need to call about my speeding ticket that I got earlier this month. He wrote me up for going 30 MPH in a 25. Really??

ETA: that was my SEVENTH speeding ticket.  I'm definitely a speed queen and I've never gotten out of a ticket.

I am completely useless at work. We are so slow, so I am trying to tie up odds and ends of projects that are just kind of in limbo or not really workable yet, but I'm just such a damn space case. It's taking me forever to do anything. I ate my dinner too early and now I'm sleepy.

I'm excited to go home and put a whole chicken in the crock pot for dinner tomorrow lol.

See, I learned to drive in Austin, TX.  If you aren't stuck in traffic-you best be going at least 10 over.  Granted, Everything is pretty much highway, but still.  I was TOLD in drivers ed it was DANGEROUS to go the speed limit because everyone else was going at least 10 over.

Today was the first day back after break. High: getting a compliment from my boss for resolving a situation and his agreement that we should go with my recommendation. Low: email fom the Head of School not 10 minutes later wondering why I didn't send a document to a staff member. The reason...my BOSS told me not to. And I even specifically questioned him about sending out this document. Dude, just let me do my f-ing job and we will all be much happier.

ETA: I promise I can spell and write complete sentences.  Is it Friday yet?

I lost count of the # of speeding tickets I have received.  But since I use to drive over 30,000 miles a year, I use to always say it averaged the same as most based on the # of miles I drove.  LOL!

I got 2 speeding tickets within 30 days of each other. The officer thanked me for being the "nicest person" he pulled over. One more ticket that year and I would have lost my license!

I had a first date Friday night. It ended at 8am Saturday morning. Not my usual style, but I have no regrets. He was fun, and sweet, and hot. And... well... yeah. We've talked about going out again, but haven't made any plans yet. Honestly, I feel totally fine with it. Which, I think is good. Not obsessing about if/when he'll call, or if I screwed things up with him... Just going with it.

The local police have actually gotten in trouble TWICE for having illegal quotas. I hate them. The school cops are even worse. They are basically rent-a-cops with more power. I had one yell at me for walking beside the stadium during a game.

Here's a creepy story. Last night I had a dream my best friend was pregnant. I texted her about it this morning. Ummm...she's totally pregnant and JUST found out last night. I should quit my job right now and become a professional future teller right?
