1. How frequently do you work out? 3-5 days a week, depending on how lazy I am feeling that week.
2. What do do? Mostly running, with some cross-training on the elliptical.
3. If you run/use the elliptical, how frequently do you stop to catch your breath? Not very often. Usually just when I'm hungover.
4. How often do you drink water during your workout? For long runs (8+ miles), I'll take an "aid station" break with fuel and water every four miles, and breaks with just water every two miles. I don't usually drink water when I'm on the elliptical, but I drink about 2 cups of water right after I finish. 5. How do you vary the intensity? With running - tempo training (intervals), and some hills training. With the elliptical - I usually just challenge myself to follow the tempo of whatever song I'm listening to, no matter how fast. It's like intervals, but more fun. 6. About how long, on average, is each workout session? At least 30 minutes, up to 2+ hours (for long runs).
2. What do do? 4 days/wk -Weights, different muscle group each day I do cardio twice a week for about 40-45 min
3. If you run/use the elliptical, how frequently do you stop to catch your breath? I try to go 10 minutes at a fast pace then slow to catch my breath
4. How often do you drink water during your workout? I don't, but I do after
5. How do you vary the intensity? I do the above and have a "rest" week where I only do lower intense cardio and abs
6. About how long, on average, is each workout session? about 1:30- 2 hours/day I love working out. I love it so much that I may get my PhD in exercise and physiology after I finish this nutrition degree next year.
1. How frequently do you work out? 5 days a week M-F. The occasional weekend, if my husband wants to go.
2. What do do? Cardio (either an hour of running on the treadmill or the stairmill) and then weights. Sometimes take the Bodypump class at my gym.
3. If you run/use the elliptical, how frequently do you stop to catch your breath? Now, almost never. When I first started, every 1-2 minutes.
4. How often do you drink water during your workout? Frequently. I try not to during stop during cardio, but I bring along a water bottle and have a goal to finish it before leaving.
5. How do you vary the intensity? Several times during a regualr workout I'll play with the inclines and speeds. I try to do HIIT at least once a week.

2. What do do? Twice a week I work with my trainer, and this week I started doing yoga. I also do cardio on my own the nights I work with my trainer, then the other 1-2 times I go to the gym.
3. If you run/use the elliptical, how frequently do you stop to catch your breath? If i'm on the treadmill, a lot. I'm asthmatic and have problem feet (they're flat & have bunions) so I've been doing run/walk intervals. The longest I've been able to run is about 2 minutes. Then I catch my breath while walking. I don't use the elliptical anymore, but when I did I could go 30 minutes without stopping.
4. How often do you drink water during your workout? A lot. Probably every 5-10 minutes I take a sip. A little less when I'm with my trainer.

2. What do do? One day of yoga, two days of weights/cardio, three days of running
3. If you run/use the elliptical, how frequently do you stop to catch your breath? The running is C25K so, I just stop at the intervals I'm supposed to. On the elliptical, I don't really remember the last time I had to stop to catch my breath.
4. How often do you drink water during your workout? I keep my water bottle with me and sip as needed. I go through the whole bottle during the session.
5. How do you vary the intensity? I try to do a variety of machines on my cardio days, and vary the incline and speed on my running days.

The elliptical I can go for an hour non-stop 4) depends on how long I am working out, short runs, when I get back, if I'm at the gym a bottle or 2 when I am there for 1.5-2 hours 5) depends on what I'm doing. short runs 20-30 min. my old gym routines, i'd be there for over an hour...doing 45 min on the elliptical then the crossfit WOD.
1. How frequently do you work out? I try for every day, but minimum 6 days/wk 2. What do do? If you run/use the elliptical, how frequently do you stop to catch your breath? I go until I can't, take a 2-3 break where I fast walk, rinse and repeat.
4. How often do you drink water during your workout? I take sips every so often, but I usually down a big bottle after my work out.
5. How do you vary the intensity? Increase the incline and speed on the treadmill, and if I find I'm not wearing out as quickly while lifting, I add more weight.

3. If you run/use the elliptical, how frequently do you stop to catch your breath? I don't stop while running unless it is a bad day. Generally if it gets really bad I just slow down my pace.
4. How often do you drink water during your workout? During runs not at all. I have a belt, but I don't like disrupting the run by reaching for the water unless I'm desperate. I usually drink about 1/2 my water bottle throughout strength.
5. How do you vary the intensity? Change up exercises on strength days, Saturday also mixes things up.
6. About how long, on average, is each workout session? 40-60 minutes

5. How do you vary the intensity? C25k, it's built into it. The elliptical I either increase the incline or the resistance.
6. About how long, on average, is each workout session? About an hour.
I take classes (usually Body Pump 1 or 2 times a week and a Boot Camp class once). I also run 2-3 times a week.
I HATE the elliptical. When I run I usually have to slow down after running sprints or running at a much faster pace than I am used to.
I usually only drink water during Boot Camp class. Every time we get a water break I use it! So probably a sip or two 3 times during the hour long class.
I vary the intensity by adding speed intervals to my running. Boot Camp has lots of varied intensity built into the class. I try to add more weights in Body Pump.
1. I work out 3 to 4 times a week. 2. Cardio kickboxing 3 times a week and body pump one time a week. 3. I used to use the elliptical and in a 45 minute session, I'd stop 2 to 3 times for water but just for a moment. 4. In kickboxing, I go through 24 to 36 oz of water and drink in between choreographed sets. 5. I vary intensity by doing more jumping and adding intensity to the moves. 6. Each session is about an hour.
3. If you run/use the elliptical, how frequently do you stop to catch your breath?

1. I work out 6 days a week, usually 2x a day
2. M W - run and lift T Th - yoga and spin F - lift S - run and long bike ride Su - rest
I also walk to work M-F, which is about 2.5 miles round trip or 3 something if I also go to the gym after work
3. I don't, but on longer runs I like to take a short walk break about every 2 miles because it helps to keep my hips from getting too tight.
4. Depends on what I'm doing and what the weather is like. Running every mile or two, spin whenever I need it (I usually go through 20 oz in an hour) and same with biking. No water for lifting or yoga.
5. Hills, some interval work, in spin I just do what they tell me.
6. Any where between 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on what it is.
1. How frequently do you work out? When I don't have an infant, 6+ times per week. Usually, 8, with Wednesdays off completely.

1. How frequently do you work out? total of four times a week
2. What do do? Ct5K run three times a week, and yoga once a week
3. If you run/use the elliptical, how frequently do you stop to catch your breath? I stop to walk if it's built into the Ct5k plan for that day, but I also don't jog very fast ... the yoga class is low-key and there are a lot of pauses anyway
4. How often do you drink water during your workout? usually just afterward, but I don't do anything super-strenuous
5. How do you vary the intensity? I follow an app for the running, so I change it up once the app says to do so ... the yoga class is basically the same each week 6. About how long, on average, is each workout session? the running is around 20 minutes each so far, and the yoga class is an hour (including a 5-10 minute shavasana at the end)
2. What do do? Half an hour on elliptical, high-ish setting, or treadmill, running as long as I can with walk breaks in between. I also spend some time on the mats stretching before/after. After elliptical/treadmill, I bike for however long it gets me to reach 10 miles (usually another 30 minutes).
3. If you run/use the elliptical, how frequently do you stop to catch your breath? I stop running about once every 10 minutes and walk for about 30 seconds. I'm not a distance runner I don't stop on the elliptical.
