If you are taking a bike ride with your infant in one of those seats that attach to the bike, would you put a helmet on your child? Because, I came across a blog where the writer doesn't seem to do this and I, personally, think that is irresponsible. Am I wrong for thinking that?
If they are too small for a helmet they are too small to be on a bike. My son is in a trailer on bike trails and wears a helmet. Aside from protecting him in the unlikely event of some kind of accident it's just good practice t have him always wear a helmet. If they will be expected to do something when they are older it just seems to make more sense to have it always be that way.
helmetless here: nieniedialogues.blogspot.com/2013/05/9-steps.html and forward facing in her car seat on the next post. I don't know how old that little one is but she's just starting to walk. I've heard of this blogger before.
I looked her up on Instagram and there seems to be a lot of people calling her out about the helmet thing.
Is it normal to lay a baby's head directly on concrete like that? I'm sure it's not as dangerous as being on the bike without a helmet, but that just doesn't look comfortable.

That's not something I would do, especially while she is still strapped into a contraption like that.
I have been DYING to talk about this lol. NieNie, whom I love, always smacks me as the type who is yearning for the olden days. When men were men and women were women. copyright Stumpy, 2009
Anyways I doubt she cares about the forward facing thing or the helmet thing. I am pretty breezy but she has always been WAAY breezy about things. I think she sort of poo poos safety stuff.
We had no issue finding a helmet for Jack when he was one. I mean he has a large head, but they make them for babies that small. Charlotte just turned 1 so there is a helmet out there that would fit her.
I believe NieNie has also talked about driving around while all the kids played in the trunk part of their station wagon. soooooo....yeah

See, I've always been pretty breezy about stuff too, but I can't imagine not putting a helmet on my infant while they are on a bike. Maybe it's because I am not the most coordinated person, and I'd be paranoid the entire time. Those pictures make me feel anxious.
EVERYONE SHOULD BE WEARING A HELMET ON A BIKE WHY IS THIS A QUESTION
also, the idea of biking with a kid on the back (helmet or not) terrifies me. all i can picture is falling and the kid getting hurt
We always had the seat installed on H's bike when Anna was younger for that reason, lol. I was too scared. Then we got a double chariot and I was fine with that.
But we just got a trailer bike for Anna and attached it to H's bike, and I will attach a seat for Sophia on mine because it will be more fun for her than in the chariot trailer alone. I am scared though. If it is too scary I will go back to the trailer.

Is this a blog from 1985? lol because we totally did that back then.

i think i would be okay with the trailer thing, because at least if i fell and the bike tipped sideways, the kid would be somewhat protected from road rash and with a helmet, their head would be more safe. but just a seat on the back?? omg, anxiety.

Me too It never even occurred to me to contemplate it. We bought a bike trailer and a helmet at the same time.
