I too am not a pie fan, but for me it's the pie crust. Yuck.
My UO: I am extremely glad that A refused the paci after 3 months. I hate them. I know it is a lifesaver for a lot, but when a toddler is sucking on one, it grates on my nerves.
I hate that at thanksgiving all the desserts are so un-chocolatey. I normally make a chocolate pecan pie just so there is something besides pumpkin and apple.
My MIL sometimes makes two kinds of pumpkin pie, pumpkin and pumpkin chiffon. She is always sad when I don't eat any even though I have said time and again that I just don't like pumpkin pie. I don't get it! just thinking about it slipping down my throat... uugggh
Fruit pie or dessert is one of those things where I'd eat it if there's nothing else but I'd NEVER order it in a restaurant when there are other options.

I too hate pie and pie crust. Eww, the crust just gets so overwhelming in your mouth. Nasty!
I like making pies, but I never eat them! I'm the one in charge of Thanksgiving pies. I make a bourbon pecan pie for my husband. I'm almost certain if he had to choose between me and the pie, he would choose the pie.

I will amend what I said about pie crust. I only hate the pastry kind of crusts. I love the crumb kind usually with cream pies. I make this amazing white chocolate strawberry cheesecake cream pie during strawberry season. It is soooo good.

I have said this before but i am not really into desserts that much in general. I mean I'll eat them obviously but usually i eat too much and i am too full for dessert. I'll eat ice cream obviously but a lot of times i even pass on that. I do however, like a good cheesecake. I'd rather have a glass of wine, then a slice of pie.
I can't stand pie crust (except for graham cracker or Oreo), but I love the filling. I tell myself that all of the calories are in the crust, so it's like I'm eating fruit. Delicious, sugar-saturated fruit.
I like food you don't need teeth for - overripe fruit, applesauce, pudding, etc. If you need me, I'll be having lunch with... Dammit, I can't make an old person name joke because they're all popular again!
I hate all things pumpkin. My mom keeps trying to get me to eat it and says it's all in my head and it annoys the shit out of me. I love sweet potato pie and she thinks it tastes the same as pumpkin but it doesn't! I'm not a fan of fruit pies either. I love lemon merengue, and sweet potato pie. Key lime pie is good but it has to be done right. Banana cream pie is ok too. I make chiboust cream pie from time to time in different flavors and I love it. (Chiboust cream = pastry cream +meringue)

I'm also glad of this now. I used to wish she would just TAKE THE DAMN PACIFIER but now I am glad I don't have another habit to break.
She liked it in the beginning and we gave one in the hospital. But she never got good at keeping it in herself.
In Ireland pacifier use is RIDICULOUS. Every child has one. I've never known of a child who didn't have one. They use them ALL THE TIME, to very old ages IMO. I think 4 is too old for a pacifier. I also think they should be used only for times where the kid is upset, but in ireland it seems the kids have them all the time, all day long. Talking with them in their mouths.
I hate Bavarian cream cake/pie. I don't like the heavy cream/whipped cream they're made with. It leaves a greasy, fatty feel in my mouth. Chiboust cream is much better (and way fewer calories).
I don't like smoothies! I make them in large batches for L and DH, but I never drink them myself. I just can't do it...during pregnancy I used to make them for DH before he went to work, but one day it was a banana smoothie and I started to get barfy...something about the creamy consistency. Since then I can't do bananas or smoothies. I was never a real smoothie fan before that, though.
I never make smoothies. I just never really feel like OH I'd love a smoothie right now! And I don't want to dirty up my blender and then have to clean it. Much easier to just eat the banana and yogurt. haha
