Even if I'm persona non-grata, if there's nobody in Seattle but you can get him approved here I'd be willing to host or do what I can. They also have a great Ronald McDonald house near the hospital. I can put my foot-in-mouth word-vomit time to good use. Seattle Children's is an amazing hospital with a lot of great specialist teams including cardiac care.

I don't really have room at my house but am about 45 minutes away from University of Michigan and about an hour from a great Childrend's hospital. We also have Beaumont Hospital that does transplants.
I can't host but can help take care of you guys at the hospital if you end up here. I can also make the calls if you need, just send me what i need to know.
I'm in RTP, not far from Duke. We would absolutely do this if it could help Forrest
I know Duke has a good lung transplant program, so maybe they have a good heart one too? I read a blogger whose wife has CF and just had her second lung transplant. Her case was complicated from what I could tell.
The closest transplant hospital for me is hours away, so I don't think I'd be much help there, but I would definitely help with expenses for traveling or whatever they need.
DS has made friends with all of the firefighters in the neighborhood so you would be all set with EMS. We are 10 mins (or less) from DCA and have a big spare bedroom. I also have a stocked wine fridge and a quick walk to Trader Joe's for good cheap booze.
You got this squirrely. I don't know who else I could call but between the little girl in Philly fighting for lungs and Forrest I can shop it as a news story when you are ready.
Central Wisconsin here. Not too far from Madison or Marshfield. I also have family in the northern Illinois burbs, near Condell Hospital in Libertyville, and several other large hospitals. I can arrange anything needed for those areas. My heart goes out to you, I can't even fathom what you, Forrest, and your family are going through right now. I'm just a lurker, but I will help in any way I can.
I'm a lurker mostly, but if you end up in the Midwest, I'm about an hour and a half away from the Omaha Children's Hospital, and an hour away from the one in Sioux Falls, SD.
I'm not 100% sure of the services they offer, but everyone I know who has had kids at either has been happy with the care they received. *hugs*
I know I'm not a very active poster, but I wanted to throw this out there anyway--I work for a large, international hotel company and would be happy to make arrangements for you and Forrest to use my employee rate anywhere you guys need or want to go. Even if it's just for a night near home to take a break from "real-life". Just say when and where.
I just thought of this, the kids pedi is on the board at Cardinal Glennon in STL. I don't know what control she may have over transplants but I am willing to speak with her if you need it.
Ladies thank you so much for your show of support. I am making a list and will PM you if I need further info from you.
Squirrely, don't feel pressured. Just know that you have support and that we can do anything to help, short from magically make Forrest better and eligible. So, if the issue is money or a place to stay we'll figure it out.
And this is why I still love this place no matter what. Thanks again all!

I'm half way between Austin and San Antonio. I don't know what is in the area (just moved here) and can't host since we only have a 1BR, but would be happy to help with food or transportation.
On a side note, squirrelymom, it sounds like if you did travel, it would need to be by car, since oxygen might not work in a plane too well. I know they have converters to make the cig lighters take a regular plug. Maybe that would work for his oxygen situation on the way down? Hang the IV from the car handle and again the same plug concept if needed? In a car there should also be much easier access to EMS then there would be when flying.
Charleston, SC checking in. I don't know what kind of centers we have here, though.
I'm also in Charleston. We have MUSC Children's Hospital. My 4 yr old son has been a cardiac patient with them since he was about 3 months old. He's been seen by several of the doctors, and they are all excellent. The Ronald McDonald house is within walking distance of the hospital, but I am more than willing to host (I live about 20-30 minutes away).
Indianapolis,IN area right here. We are short on room, but I will find someplace close to the hospital for you if needed. (Ronald McDonald house is attached to the hospital)
