those are pretty thick plantts. she had to bring a knife or something similar to take those down. what a fucking psycho. id be watching my animals closely too as it wouldnt be hard for her to find a way to hurt them.
Did she come back and do this after you called the cops yesterday or did this happen when she originally stole the plants? Either way, what a nutter!
It had to have been after. We checked the plants out pretty thoroughly after the cops came, and we watered them and everything and they were fine. H was watering them last night when he noticed the breakage.

Yeah, I would love to follow some arrest drama as much as the next person, but I would worry about poking the crazy with a stick. She literally brought a weapon over to your house with the intent to cause damage - I would worry about what she would escalate to next if I really did have her arrested.
I know it's totally socially unacceptable, but it is just a plant, KWIM?
ETA - I would absolutely still call the cops. But I would talk the whole thing through with them rather than jump to "I want her brought to justice!!!!". Maybe a stern talk from them about how, coincidentally, your plants were damaged and if ANYTHING ELSE HAPPENS they will have to come back and deal with her, etc. will be better in the long run.

WTF. I can't wait for you to call the cops and they have to go over there again. Are they all ruined? Will you be able to do anything with what you have now?

I'm not going to ask that she be arrested, but I do want it on the record.
