Training schedule for the week: M: 7.5 miles on TM T: 4 miles, strength class W: 4 miles, spin class Th: 5k plus w/u, push ups and free weights Fri: rest Sa: long run 10 miles Su: 5 miles
Any issues/problems/vents? I dropped a beer bottle on my toe a couple days ago and it is still messed up (and really bruised and nasty looking). I wasn't even drinking, just recycling. Oh, and DH's response was, "Good catch. It would have been a mess if the bottle broke on the floor." I'm a runner! I need my feet! Lol.
Highlights from last week? I ran on the C&O one day. So peaceful and shady! It is a favorite spot for Summer runs.
What are your plans for the 4th? It is my son's 5th birthday! We don't have any actual plans though, since we had his little party last night, and fireworks are on the 3rd in our town.
What are you training for? Date? Tristate Throwdown, August 10th
Training schedule for the week: MTTF class, Saturday if I'm not feeling too beat up
Any issues/problems/vents? Back is fully recovered - yay! My coaches haven't been programming much pull-up work which I know will be important for the competition. I may have to do some supplemental work.
Highlights from last week? Back squat PR!
What are your plans for the 4th? Hero WOD in the AM (it hasn't been announced yet), then a BYO food and drinks patio party with CF friends. So basically getting trashed and being lazy lol.

Training schedule for the week:
Sunday-4 miler Monday -lift and elliptical Tuesday-2 mile ST run and hot yoga Wednesday-same as Monday Thursday-4th 5k :-) Friday-same as Monday or rest Saturday-rest or same as Monday. Depends on Friday
Any issues/problems/vents? Just still healing my damn hammie
Highlights from last week? Back running slowly but surely
What are you training for? Date? Area 13.1 Half: 8/17, Chicago Marathon: 10/13, RnR Savannah Marathon: 11/9
Training schedule for the week: This new coach has be running 6 days a week....I'm not sure how this is going to play out. M: Rest T: 5 miles Bridges W: 6 miles w/ 3 x 1 mile Th: 12 miles F: 5 miles MP S: 6 miles S: 6 miles + yoga
Any issues/problems/vents? Not really. I'm skeptical & intimidated by my training plan. I'm going to try it out for a few weeks & see how it goes. The good thing is that it can be adjusted. I'm out of my comfort zone...which was the point, I suppose.
Highlights from last week? I had, what I thought was a really good MP run on Tuesday. Looking at the suggested paces on my new plan, I'm really not too sure. lol
What are your plans for the 4th? Not much. DH will be in OR. I'm just going to have a nice "me" day. I have a friend coming for a visit on Friday, so I'm going to knock my long run out on Thursday. I'll probably go to the beach for a bit, and just enjoy being lazy.
What are you training for? Date? Columbus Half - 10/20, Philly Half - 11/17
Training schedule for the week: Mon - 60 mins Hot Yoga Tues - 7 mile run, cleaning house for party Weds - 5/6 mile run Thurs - not sure, will try to get a 5 mile run in (trying to keep a 30 mile average in my early training for upcoming races) Fri - some strength training Sat - 5 mile run and bike ride? Sun - 8 mile run w/ training group, hot yoga
Any issues/problems/vents? just the humidity - it sucks to run in plus the holiday messes with my training week
Highlights from last week? none:(
What are your plans for the 4th? DH and I throw a Red, White and Boom party every year and it's on Wednesday this year. Lots of food, fun and fireworks but almost everyone that I know is working that day and they start closing down streets where we live pretty early. DH is even working in the morning so I'm left to get everything ready. On the 4th, we just have some plans for trivia and maybe watching a parade
What are you training for? Date? - Baltimore Half Oct 12th
Training schedule for the week: M- 5 miles T- Rest W- 5 miles Th- maybe swim F-6 miles S-3 miles
Any issues/problems/vents? This humidity is sucking my soul. I started out for my 5 miles under a threat of rain only to have the sun come out and roast me the entire run.
Highlights from last week? I went running while out of town at a dog competition for the 1st time. I competed all day in the heat then came back to the campground we were staying and ran 2miles. Competitions wipe me out so I'm pretty proud of myself.
What are your plans for the 4th? Party with the family to watch the fireworks Wed night. Then we might take the dogs up to a friend's place so they can go dock-diving and play disc while we float around in the pool lol.
What are you training for? Date? 5k on 7/25 10k in September 1/2 at end of October(?)
Training schedule for the week: schedule...ha...just running as much as I can. Sun: 6.3 miles Mon: 3 miles with the stroller Today: ?? hopefully 3-4 miles either alone or with the stroller Wed-Sat: hoping to get some running in with the holiday weekend!
Any issues/problems/vents? I am swamped at work and am constantly behind at home. It's giving me serious doubts about finding time for actually training. I can't train for a 1/2 doing only 3-4 miles at a time with the jogging stroller :/ which is all I have time for right now. Ugggh
Highlights from last week? the jogging stroller is getting easier each time
What are your plans for the 4th? going to my parents for a couple of the days and then to their lake place for one day. the old timey cabin on the land isn't suitable for sleeping especially with 1 year olds, so we will just go for the day.

Issues/Problems: Just trying to figure out my training schedule. I like some plans that have me running 5 days/week, but I've gotten burned on 5 days of running in the past. I'm not sure what to do.
Highlights: Had a great 10 mile run last week.
Plans for the 4th: Go to a parade in the morning and local fireworks in the evening.
What are you training for? Date? Marine Corps Marathon October 27
Training schedule for the week: Tu- 3.5mi W-rest Th- 6.2mi Sa- 7mi

What are your plans for the 4th? 5k, packing for the weekend, hanging out with friends in the evening.
Training schedule for the week: Run 3x, Kickbox 1x, Lift 1x; my schedule is all over the place so I'm just trying to get that in during a week
Any issues/problems/vents?
My library needs a better selection of audiobooks.
Highlights from last week?
I'm so close to running 5 miles straight!
What are your plans for the 4th?
Going to my mom's in NE to see my mom and sisters. We're probably going to blow a stupid amount of stuff up (fireworks legal in NE, and my DH and BIL get all "oooo ooo ooo, fire!" about it all). I might do the local 5k in the morning, or I might just go for a run.
I'm still tinkering with my training plan, so I really don't know what I'm doing yet.
Training for: Marine Corps Marathon, 10/27
Training schedule: M: 5 mi w/speed intervals T: 8 mi easy + strength W: 8 mi easy Th: not sure, normally I'd go to the gym and yoga studio but both are closed for July 4. I could switch my usual Th and F workouts and do 5 mi easy, but I'm not sure about running 4 days in a row. F: either 5 mi easy (if I don't do it on Th) or maybe yoga + core work Sat: 12 mi with 8 mi @ MP Sun: Rest
Ok, I'm going to go throw up now. Reading this makes me feel highly unprepared for MCM.
What are you training for? My first 5k is over 2 years!
Date? September 28
Training schedule for the week: MWF: pre-work couch to 5k MTWF: lunchtime swim (M was 800 yards, and tentative plan for remaining days is 1200, 1000, 1400-1500) WR: bike rides to/from baseball stadium R: pre-baseball roller skating (maybe) Sa: either swimming, biking, or roller skating Su: yoga
Any issues/problems/vents? MOTHERFUCKING HUMIDITY. I seriously just cannot handle this anymore. And I feel fully entitled to complain about it because if most people here moved to Wisconsin, they'd spend their first winter bitching & moaning.
Highlights from last week? I discovered the roller rink near my house so I can finally re-learn to skate.
What are your plans for the 4th? BASEBALL! 11:05 a.m. game = morning drinking!
What are you training for? Date? Top Gun Tri 7/27; Half Marathon (haven't signed up yet, but probably Nov)
Training schedule for the week: Taking the week off due to injury. Might try to swim and do some yoga.
Any issues/problems/vents? Did something to my (piriformis?) on Sunday, couldn't even put weight on my right leg. It has gotten better, but is still sore.
Highlights from last week? No.
What are your plans for the 4th? Going boating with friends, if the weather gets better....
I'm still tinkering with my training plan, so I really don't know what I'm doing yet.

No, don't feel that way! I actually calculated the total mileage and realized it was too much, so I edited. I'm still figuring out what I'm doing.

What are you training for? Date? Pittsburgh Great Race 10K Sept. 29, and a 5K September 8
Training schedule for the week: T: 2 mile easy run W: Rest T: 5 miles F: 2 mile easy run Sun: 8 miles After someone mentioned it yesterday, I downloaded a Smart Coach plan. It seems weird, but I am going to follow it because, well, they probably know way more than I do about training. ; )
Any issues/problems/vents? I've been getting muscle spasms in the evening in my calves and two nights so far, I have woken up with massive charley horses. No idea what that's all about, but it's been better the last 2 nights.
Highlights from last week? My first 5K, and a really great 5 mile run one evening last week.
What are your plans for the 4th? Boo, nothing. My H works all day and until 2am, so I am on my own. I'll probably run in the AM, and then spend the rest of the day at the pool.

Highlights from last week? nothing
What are your plans for the 4th? was going to do a race but I just feel like doing family time instead wil do basic training runs. Will probably splash around in the baby pool with DD and do watch some local fireworks that evening
No, don't feel that way! I actually calculated the total mileage and realized it was too much, so I edited. I'm still figuring out what I'm doing.
Ahh, well that makes me feel little better. It's just been SO hard to come back from an injury and seeing those 11m/m on my garmin, :::sigh::: poor pitiful meeeee!

My goals were 4.5 hours of workout time, 0:45 swim, 2:20 bike, 1:40 run. I probably will go over that.
Any issues/problems/vents? I'm scared for my 5K - it's my first race since the injury/cast in December!
Highlights from last week? Last week was an off/not so good week for me - onward and upward this week!
What are your plans for the 4th? Annual 5K that I do; fireworks in the evening
What are you training for? Date? Long Beach Half Marathon 10/13/13 (I think?)
Training schedule for the week: Monday: Rest Tuesday: 2 miles Wednesday: 5 mile tempo Thursday: 3 miles Friday: Swimming with the kids Saturday: More swimming with the kids Sunday: 10 miles
Any issues/problems/vents? Sunday's 10 miler will be a vacation run. I'm not comfortable venturing far from the resort so I'll be running a lot of loops.

What are your plans for the 4th? Fireworks on the beach!
What are you training for? Date? Mohawk-Hudson Half, 10/13
Training schedule for the week: short runs,PT, weights
Any issues/problems/vents? My calf is still an issue, though my PT said he he could see improvement in it last week. We'll see what he says more that I've been running on it again. The humidity and heat have finally decided to return, and I have a cold that's settled in my throat, so it has been making breathing that much worse when I run.
Highlights from last week? Not really.
What are your plans for the 4th? Short run in the AM, then hoping to stretch things out in my parents' pool. Probably fireworks in the evening.
