I had a job that took up quite a bit of time for me this weekend, so my plan sort of bombed . I realized as I was getting in to bed last night that all I ate yesterday was a pumpkin donut, cheese, crackers, and crudite. Um, not exactly ideal fuel for the 15 miles I had planned for today. So, moving it to Wednesday, and I'll just do 8 today.
All of that to say, shout out to all of you who are busting your asses with demanding jobs, and still firing up killer workouts!
F: Masters, 8miles pace S: 5 miles S: 8 miles (instead of 15)
F: nothing S: 8 mile run (was supposed to go for 2hrs but my IT bands were hurting), swimming S: nothing yet, I think I am going to go for a bike ride after I do some laundry and pick up the house a little
Friday: 3 easy miles to shake out my airplane legs. Saturday: 5k 22:37 Sunday: 22 miles @ 8:24
A few things about today's run.
1) 70* at 6:30 (cold front! Lol), but 87% humidity (omgfuckFL). Chicago will feel amazing, right? Right?!
2) DH is apparently quite cranky after 22 miles. After he was being very short w/me, I commented on his crankiness. He responded by saying that I was asking too many questions, he needed quiet, & then he jokingly told me to not even look at him. Lol A few minutes later, I asked if we had any more ice, & he replied "That's another question!" So naturally I responded with, "OK, go fuck yourself. THAT, my love, is an instructive statement." Wth, dude? Get it together! Lol

I've spent the second half of this week dealing with a cold, so today was my only workout since Tuesday. 11.2 miles, and it felt like I bonked from the first step. My legs felt OK, but the rest of me was just tired. The dense fog didn't help my breathing at all, either. Oh well. Hopefully my sucky runs are out of my system until race day.
Friday: 80 min bike ride bricked with 10 min run Saturday: 1:37 hour run - was sure we hit 13 miles bc it felt fast, but my watch clocked only 12.6. My first run over 10 miles though since, hmm, April? I am feel happy about that! Today: 7.4 mile recovery run with my friend. I thought we were only going for like 3-4. That put me at 57 miles this week and I am feeling incredible.
I also went to a 2-hour yoga workshop yesterday on armstands and handstands. I am hoping by learning how to do things correctly, I can stop hurting my back. But OMG it was so hard. Every piece of my body is sore from spending 30 straight minutes of jumping into handstands. I was the only non-yoga instructor there and it was a bit humbling.
