I almost wrote "Monday randoms" so that just made my day a bit better...
My students have been awesome all week. I'm hoping that we've found our groove and this will just keep rolling! Yesterday we did an apple taste testing and they did such a good job : )
I've eaten like shit all week. I can't say no to Halloween candy and I keep eating it until I'm sick. I want to smack the person who came up with the idea for those bite sized kit kat bars!
I have my half on Sunday and I'm really excited but also really nervous. I really hope my knee can hold out.

I have so much (SO MUCH) to do before vacation on November 8th. Both at work and at home. I hate my job which is making it hard to find any motivation but I know it has to be done. I am not going to be a good mom or wife for the next few weeks but hopefully my husband and kids will forgive me when we're in Orlando for two weeks.
I keep a bag of bite-sized candy in my drawer at school to occasionally give out as rewards to the kids for different things. Yeah, I ate about 5 of those damn things after school yesterday. I'll probably end up eating the whole bag myself.
I really really really need my 3 year olds to stop sleeping like 3 month olds. I can barely keep my eyes open this morning. I've been up since 4:45. And then before that it was 3, and then 1 and then 1230....there is not enough coffee for today. Any ideas for kids who have become afraid of the dark? We slept with every light on upstairs last night and that didnt seem to matter...
We're going out for J's cousin's bday tonight. We're going to a comedy show. Yay! I love live comedy.
We've started letting the dog sleep in the bed with us, and I'm slightly snug that both the dog and the cat snuggle up to me. Even though the dog generally prefers J.

Maybe a Dream Light? I don't know, I'm in your exact same boat. My son has been up since before 5. I think the fact that the sun is coming out so much later in the mornings is messing him up. He wakes up and it's dark and he doesn't know if it's morning or night. I'm seriously thinking about buying him one of those toddler alarm clocks where it tells them when it's ok to be up.

I stopped doing this my second year teaching after I gained ten pounds the first year. Lol.

I'm seriously debating them too - the one that turns colors. Red to stay in bed, green to leave bed. I'm going to try squirrelymom's suggestion of the magic wand. Thats something my kids would totally buy into. I need toothpicks today to keep my eyelids open...
Our house needs $3000 plumbing work, so i guessI can kiss my winter vacation goodbye. I hate being responsible sometimes!
We have a birthday party to go to tomorrow night, and I just want to stay home. I know H will want to stay all damn night, so I may leave and then come back and get him later on. I hate doing that, but I just can't spend hours and hours standing around.
Also, my husband told me that I remind him of Eeyore and Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh. We discussed this because my son said he was Tigger and my daughter was Piglet. Funny thing is that it really does kind of match all of us. But I don't want to be an Eeyore and I am going to make an effort to be positive and not complain as much.
I just got back yesterday from a three day conference, so I get today off. My grandchildren are still here so I'm going to make them special shaped pancakes for breakfast, then we're going to a dinosaur exhibit at a museum and having taco night (their favorite) for dinner.
Right now, everyone is still asleep. The kiddies and I made forts in the living room last night and that's where we all slept. I'm just sitting here watching them sleep and marveling at how much they've grown.

That sounds like so much fun, and they are going to have so many great memories with you!

We've had a great time with them. Last weekend was an absolutely perfect fall weekend with visits to the apple orchard, any rides, and the pumpkin patch.
Making memories with them is so important to me. We're getting the most out of them now because we won't be with them again until Christmas time.
We have our first Family Fun Night at Morgans school tonight and I'm oddly excited. Maybe because all this is new? IDK but I'm going to enjoy it until it becomes annoying LOL. I'm so happy we have her where we do - it's been such a great experience. Plus it's VERY convienient to have her right on campus with me - especially since I'm not a morning person & having her there means I only have to leave like 5 minutes earlier
