Weekend plans, anyone?
Tonight I'm getting my car fixed and inspected. I also ordered new tires, but those won't be in until next week. Cars are expensive.
My friends coming to visit Saturday. I need to finish a sewing present for her!
No plans Sunday. I was asked to do a cake, but I declined. Knowing I had to finish the sewing project... I'm trying this new thing were I don't kill myself trying to make other people happy.
H will be staining and sealing our deck on Saturday. While he's doing that, I have to finish DS' halloween costume, figure out how to fix the grim reaper we had hanging out front (we had a storm last night and the wind ripped the hanger thingy out of his head), and clean the house.
Sunday... no idea. Grocery store, some cooking, probably take the kid to a playground for awhile.
Tonight, I might start laundry and other equally exciting house tasks.
Tomorrow night H is going to his friend's house for a guy's night. I think I'll stay home and watch some movies he'd hate. I have a few movies on my 'To Watch' list that I know he doesn't care about or would roll his eyes at. lol Oh well. I get to enjoy them. Wine, popcorn or candy will probably be involved.

STORY TIME!
H= Jets fan Me= Steelers fan
Last Sunday, our teams played. H put up our flags on the front porch.
This past week, H was grilling on said front porch. He's in his grilling zone, not paying attention. Hears someone say "hey!". Ignores it. People shout all the time. NBD.
Hears "hey!" again. Looks, doesn't see anyone.
Hears "hey!" again. Whips to the other side of the porch that he can't see and says "WHAT!"
Local police man sitting in his cruiser. Police man asks "which one is it?"
It looks like the Patriots are playing the Jets. I don't follow football, so I don't know which of these options would be better.
All I have to add to this conversation is that I once saw the Steelers play in Three Rivers Stadium. I was about 10 and read a book the whole time.
shame on you!
And the Jets are much better
(I have to say that or I won't get any lovings this weekend)
LOL. I have family in Penn Hills and Oakmont, so we'd be out in Pittsburgh at least once a month when I was younger. My grandma used to be a writer for the Post-Gazette and she'd alway get tickets to random stuff from the sports department.
I've been to Steelers, Pirates and Penguins games. I met Mario Lemieux in a pub once. He was easy on the eyes.

I really don't get all this confusion over who to root for. THERE IS NO QUESTION. Always the Pats. Always. This week and every week. Unless galaxies collide and they play UGA. Then GO DAWGS!!!
Since that is not happening, we hope that Tompkins and Dobbins can hold onto a catch and that the hole Willfork has left is somehow filled in.

!!!
Though I don't give a crap about hockey.
It's the only sport I don't mind watching. I was stoked.
It was after a Penguins game. I was sitting at the bar with my parents (apparently bar owners didn't care about kids at the bar back then). Mario came in and bought beers for the bar. It was freaking mayhem. I guess free beers is a big thing. Mario saw me and came over with a Shirley Temple (WITH EXTRA CHERRIES!!!) just for me. ::swoon::
My parents noticed my cheesy self being all smitten with the pretty man who bought me a soda.
I got a framed picture of him for my birthday that year (1992 stanley cup win)... I was such a dork.
