I hate scrapple. They should have picked shoo fly pie.
Or whoopie pies!
I do love scrapple though. I'm actually in the process of ordering 5 pounds of wheat-free scrapple from Seattle. I realize that probably makes me disgusting. lol

This guy has a lot of food hate, and it is hilarious.
I live in Chicago, and hate Chicago-style pizza. It is terrible, and NY style (the huge, huge sliced kind that you literally have to fold just to jam it in your mouth) is the best.
Also, pasties (MI) are awesome - the key is hot sauce, and plenty of it!
And I agree 1,000% with his assessment of Cincinnati chili. Blech blech blech.
Pasties are huge in the Northern Upper Peninsula, but in the Lower half of the state? Not even a little bit. They aren't even all that popular once you leave the Keweenaw. I find it odd that's what they chose for Michigan.
We will forever be stuck being known for green jello. I can't even argue. We have nothing else of our own. Unless you count fry sauce, but that's a condiment, not a food.
Michigan's signature foodstuff—meat and potatoes served in a portable bread-purse—goes by the name pasty as a means of associating itself with the pasty of England, as though the culinary traditions of that pallid, inbred, rain-soaked island shithole will vindicate what is essentially a calzone for people who hate and fear things that are good.
Yeah, I have lived in MI for a total of 30+ years and just had my first pasty this summer. Only in Northern MI is the Pasty a thing.
Why couldn't they pick the cherry pie? So much better.

I cannot stop laughing over the Cincinnati chili. I pretty much knew that was going to be at the very bottom as soon as I opened the list. I personally like it, but it certainly is an acquired taste.
