I give Solid Gold Indigo Moon (sold at Petco). I tried Welless, Newman's Own, Felidae, Fromm and one other one and he wouldn't touch them.
winecat -- why wet? My cat WILL NOT eat wet food and I have tried every brand and every texture. He drinks a lot of water it seems so maybe he is OK with no wet food?
winecat I have a serious question about wet food. Can i bake some meat and give that to them with broth? Would this count as wet food? I know this sounds dumb, but I am curious. It is fresh and meat

Friskies Indoor Delights for all but one, who gets Hills Prescription Diet, low calorie, because she's a plump-dumplin'. She's the only one for which our vet recommended a special diet. Our oldest boy is 12 and has always eaten Friskies or Purina brands, with no health issues.

My cat gets canned Evo twice a day and a small scoop of dry Evo so he doesn't bitch all night. We spend a lot on cat food... But he seems happy. I also give him a bath once a month and brush his teeth a few times a week.

Oh and a crazy amount of goldfish crackers because my 5yo feeds them to the cat I pay a fortune for grain free food for. Ugh. The cat is obsessed with them.

Don't be like me. I'm crazy.
We live the same life. Ours gets dry to stop him from cry. He gets 2 baths a month. I need to work on the teeth brushing next.

I don't know. There are lots of people who feed their cats raw. It is supposed to be the best for them.

I wouldn't do it as her sole diet, but as a supplement, it should be fine.I would make sure there's no garlic or onion in the broth, though.
I was thinking maybe a supplement with dry food, instead of the wet food. lol See how much I am fighting this? I mean I will do it if I have to for them, but bleh, I would rather be chef mommy then open a damn can lol

The people that are really serious about their pet food should look into raw. Since a cat doesn't weigh very much it could be very cheap, but a bit of a commitment.
My dogs weigh 140 pounds combined and their food costs me roughly $50 a month to give you a ballpark idea of raw costs.
We do purina one urinary tract care or something like that. I have a cat with a whiney little bladder.
This is what we use too. She was getting UTIs constantly before we switched.
This is what I give my cat too but she gets a half serving if dry food and a half serving of the purina wet cat food for uti issues as well as she didn't do well with just dry food. Since we switched to this she hasn't had any utis which has been awesome for all of us!
We do IAMS urinary and hairball control or something of the sort. I know it's hairball control and I *think* it's in a blue bag. Maybe purple. But it has hairball control.

I give my cats Iams.
2 of my dogs gets Iams, the other gets 50% science diet venison & potato and 50% a homemade food I make for her because she's allergic to everything. She's also the biggest asshole animal we have- so I am 100% certain she will live forever, regardless of what I would feed her.

We used to have Wellness dry food out, but after our boy cat died, we realized our girl cat wasn't really eating it. so we give her a can of Halo a day.
We do keep a bag of Science Diet on hand and give her maybe 5 pieces a day as "treats." She goes nuts over it.
