Mostly because this is a really busy month for me and I have to travel every weekend. Then we'll be gone the first half of December, so fuck it. It's going up now so I don't have to stress out about it later.

I usually have a couple days off before Thanksgiving so I move all the furniture, set up the tree and lights, clean up the boxes and shit and do outside decorations if it's nice out. Then when I come back from Thanksgiving I put all the ornaments up and enjoy.

Christmas trees can go up anytime after Thanksgiving (which is still too early IMO - I wait until after Dec. 12th) and they come down after Epiphany.
