If you are a rational person and don't freak out about race weekend there is no need for you to read this post.
The 10 day forecast is showing RAIN!!! But at least the temps look good, assumign we aren't running in a thunderstorm. High of 54 and low of 40. So I imagine it will be close to 40 at the start.

10 days is too far away to panic!
Last year, 24 hrs beforehand, the prediction was 90% chance of rain and heavy wind for MCM. The rain held off until the afternoon/evening. It was windy, but ok. Keep hope alive! LOL.

This is good news, but doesn't keep me from panicing just a little.
Did anyone get their conformation email today? This part seems like overkill. I know there will be additional security, but recommending arriving at 5:00 AM? That is insane.
Corral Line Up on Race Day & Wave Start
The color block on your race bib corresponds with the expected finish time you provided on your application. You can review the color corral groups at the bottom of this email, in the number pick-up area at the Health & Fitness Expo, as well as in the corral area on race day. Be sure to position yourself in your assigned color corral area at the race start. There will be a wave start according to color corral position. Marathoners and half marathoners with the same pace will line up together in the same color corrals. WE RECOMMEND ARRIVING NO LATER THAN 5:00 AM TO CLEAR THE HEIGHTENED SECURITY SCREENING AND TAKE CARE OF PERSONAL NEEDS BEFORE THE 1ST START. DO NOT COUNT ON START DELAYS.
Are they serious? That means I have to leave my house at 4 AM, which means I need to wake up at 3 to make sure I get "things" taken care of. UGH. Maybe I will sleep at my brothers downtown.
That seems really early, but then I realized the race starts at 7 am. Wow, that's an early start.
I actually kind of prefer this now that I think about it. It will still be semi-cold by the time I finish. When you have a 8 or 9 start time, it can warm up pretty good in a couple hours.
I was just coming here to post that. I was negotiating with my friend about what time to leave the hotel, and nutty me wanted to leave at 5, i cant imagine getting ere by 5!!! I still dont know how were getting to the start...
For the ladies staying in philly...are you walking? I cant imagine cabs will be able to get close to the start. Our hotel is a little over a mile away.

If I stay with my brother I will take the train.
Public transportation makes me so nervous on race day lol theres a stop right by the art museum, right?
my hotel is about a mile from the start - there is no way I'm getting there at 5am - that's when I plan on getting up. When I told DH that it quickly disintegrated any joy he had about traveling to Philly with me for the race.
Anyone have some restaurant recommendations? We are getting in Friday night and want a good place to grab dinner.
