As in, you can do it in one or two tries? I was talking to a friend and she was saying that she can't parallel park at all. Since living in CA, I've learned to do it and in my compact I can parallel park like a pro.
Yes. I've never lived or worked anywhere that I've had to do it regularly, but I'm pretty good at it.
Oh, but only if I'm parking on the right. I tried to parallel park on the right on a one-way street and made a fool of myself. People on the sidewalk were laughing at me.
I'm horrible at it. I have lived in LA and Chicago so you would think that I should be able do it in my sleep when really I can't do it in any less than 3-4 tries. This is part of the reason why I don't even own a car anymore.
I'm really good at it. It seriously just takes confidence. The times Ive had trouble are when I'm worried someones watching. I have a sedan with a great turning radius.
My friend seemed to ha e a terrible time parallel parking to the point that I made her get out so I could do it. Her car has a terrible turnong radous..it was nearly impossible to parallel park it.
I learned to parallel park in a 1989 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup truck and a chevy suburban. MY dad said, "My girl is gonna know how to park a car." So yeah, parallel parking my Accord is a breeze
I'm awesome at it. I was better with my automatic, but still really good with my manual. We had to do it as part of our driver's test and I did it a lot in my old apartment when I wanted to park closer to my door.
My mother will parallel park her Yukon in one shot in a space I debate with my WRX. It's one of the most impressive things I've ever seen.
I got surprisingly good in my old car. I could also back into a tight garage space with a perpendicular to the garage alley approach. The garage was so tight we could not open our passenger side doors once in.
In our new SUV, I chickened out on Sunday at a race. There was one great big spot but a line of about 1o cars behind me and I couldn't handle the pressure.
Yep. I used to drive a tank ('77 Ford LTD) when I lived in an apartment in Chicago, and I swear I could get that car in a space only 2 inches longer than the car itself.
