I have a 5K, but my legs STILL feel achy from my run on Monday. I have my regular Wed massage so hopefully that helps. It's like my thighs are bricks, I cannot imagine running fast right now. On a happier note, my daughter is running the kid race!
Anyone else? We can post our race updates here tomorrow.
I'm running in a local Turkey Trot. The same girl beats me every year by like 5 seconds. My goal us to beat her this year. The prizes are homemade pumpkin or pecan pie. I've watched her walk away with those pies every year. Maybe she'll bump up to the 40 category this year...long legs are hard to beat!

I still don't know! I'm signed up, but I haven't heard from DH what time his team is working. I think I'll still take the kids to the kids race depending on the weather (I'm afraid to check!) If I don't run, I'm eyeing up a 5k or 10k this w/e.
5K tomorrow. I have no idea how it's going to go, since I haven't run in over two weeks. The last two years I was 2nd in my AG; I doubt that will happen again.
I've got a 5k, and it's conveniently through my neighborhood. The only problem is that there are thousands of participants (I think last year there were 10,000) many of whom aren't runners so they line up right at the front blocking the timed racers from getting around them. Frustrating! But I know to expect it and force my way toward the middle of the timed pack.

I am doing an 8 mile turkey trot tomorrow. It is crazy 40-45k people participating, but so much fun. It is cold here for a change, so that is even better - I get to break out my one pair of tights and gloves.
I am running a 5 mile Turkey Trot tomorrow - It's going to be cold! THe first 2,000 finishers get a Whole Food's pumpkin pie so I'm excited for the prize this year:)
I've got a 10K and my DD will be running her first kids K. One of my friends who always wins OA is dressing as a turkey. My other girlfriend who is always seconds behind her is wearing an apron and a turkey baster to chase her. OMGLOL.
Quick story! I sat down to transfer some data from my garmin, and DD sneaks away and returns with a little plastic watch with a cow as the watch face and proudly declares "I've got my race watch, mommy!" I nearly died of an exploding love-filled heart!

The real 10K was cancelled b/c the RD moved out of state and no one took over. I organized some people and we're going to do a 10K fun run...so no cool prizes like free pie, but at least it will make me feel better about eating/drinking myself into oblivion tomorrow afternoon

Local 5k turkey trot. As if tonight, the low for tomorrow is 43. This is much better than 30 as said earlier this week. That said, I still don't really know what to wear as I am the biggest wimp ever.

I'm running a 5k tomorrow. It will be my third run since we have been in a California, and the first two sucked. I don't know if it is something different about the air or if it's because I took 2 weeks off. Either way, I am not expecting much.
My friends who I planned on running with both have to work, so I went to packet pickup and sold my bib. I don't want to run a 5k solo on the other end of town in the cold.
BUT! I finally have a chance to go to a friends spin class at 7 am at the gym 5 minutes from my house! Yay thanksgiving workouts!
I had a ten miler on the books but since I have been puking the last three days I think I'm going to sit it out. Really bummed about it. I did not get sick with my DD so this is all new to me
5k also here! I did the 10k last year and it was a frigid 18 degrees. I opted for the shorter race this year just in case that happened again. Its going to be mid 30s when we race, with a high of 50 here tomorrow. I can't win :^)

I'll be there too! Freezing my ass off with my sister and BIL. WhyTF can't I find my ear warmer and both gloves when I actually need them damnit?!
I'm doing our local Drumstick Dash, it's a 4.6 mile race. I did my first official tempo run yesterday and my legs are kinda sore, so we'll see how tomorrow goes.

I'm doing a 5k in DH's hometown with DH. Forecast so far is 18° with a "feels like" of 3°. I'm just hoping the two nasty hills on the course aren't icy.
Hope everyone rocks their races and Happy Thanksgiving!
5k turkey trot for me, but not until Saturday. I am planning on running 5 miles or so tomorrow morning... I need to get myself good and hungry to eat a TON of food!
