I don't know I'm not devastated or anything but I just don't think its a good haircut for me and there's much I can do about it. false compliments or ways to make do while it grows out are appreciated. And I hope I got the attachment of the pictures done correctly.

I like it better than your old haircut. I think you might actually love it when it's about an inch longer. For now, though, could you look into 1940s/1950s pin-set waves in it? Think Libby on Masters of Sex.

This is an AWESOME look for you!! Seriously - no false compliments here.
My advice is to just spend some time looking for short styles that you like (curls, waves, whatever) and then invest in good product. Good hair product makes all the difference, especially with short hair.

This was my exact though. OP give it a month and you will love it.
You guys are amazing. I still feel like I lucked out with a good picture of it, I swear I do not normally have that much sass, lol. It was hard this morning because most of the people that saw me today were just like "you cut your hair! Wow, it's short!" After a while I realized....everyone noticed it's short but no one actually said it looked good. so thank you all.

The color is great! I have long hair like in your before picture and I think I would be so shocked and sort of "miss" my hair at first, so my reaction would be the same as you.
However, I hope all of these posts help you feel great about it because it really does look nice. I also agree with PPs that when it gets a little bit longer and you're also used to it you'll love it.

I really suck at curling my hair, but I think you might be right that I will like it once it grows out just a little bit
