How long were your babies in newborn clothes?  Did they ever wear newborn clothes?  Thanks

Still in them, almost ready to move up a size at 9 weeks - almost 9 pounds.

I think she was in newborn for 4-6 weeks depending on brand. She was 6 lb. 11 oz at birth

DD #1 was barely in newborn clothes. Depending on the brand, she may have been in them for two weeks. Gerber runs small, and I forget who else so those never worked. She was 7 lb 14 oz at birth. I only have two or three newborn outfits this time. She will likely leave the hospital in newborn. Oh, and she was 21 inches, long baby.

I realized I didn't have many newborn outfits, so went out and bought a couple. I guess I wasn't sure how long he would be in them. The doctor said she thinks he'll be around 8lbs. or so at birth, so I wasn't sure. A lot of them say up to 8 lbs.

L is almost 8 weeks and her NB sized onesies are too small. She isn't a huge baby (chunking up now) but it's the length that's a problem. She has too much vigorous kicking to do.
Now we're in the 0-3 stuff.

DS is still in them; he will be 3 weeks on Friday. He was 7 lb 8 oz at birth and was 8 lb 10.5 oz at his 2-week checkup.

DD was 7 lb 3 oz at birth and wore newborn for around a month.

About a month. She was 7 lbs 7 oz at birth and 8 lbs 14 oz at her 5-week appointment and had outgrown them already by then. However, she outgrew them by length, not so much by weight depending on the brand. She's a long, lean baby.

My DS was 6 pounds and wore NB clothes for 6 weeks. He then shot up and only wore 0-3 for 2 weeks.

DD was 7lb 10.5oz -- She's still wearing NB clothes, at 17 days old. She currently weighs around 8lb 9oz

My kid can still wear some nb stuff at 3 months.

Edit: d was 5 lbs 2 oz and 18 in. at birth and two weeks ago he was up to 10 lbs, 22 in.

Mine is still, at 5.5 weeks. She is a little over 8 pounds now, and was 6.5 pounds at birth. 0-3 months is still a little big on her,but we can get away with it now (she was swimming in them until about a week ago). We had her in onesies and a swaddle for a few weeks because she could put both legs in one leg of a sleeper.

DD wore NB size for a few weeks and was 9lbs 4oz, 22inches. Remember that newborns can go through several outfits a day so even a month if wear is still A LOT of wear on a onesie.

I was surprised that my daughter (8# at birth) was in NB for a month, maybe more. I hadn't even bought any nb really but the 0-3 looked ridiculous on her.

This time I will have plenty of NB size things on hand!

DD1 was in them for 2 months, but could have and probably should have been in them for longer. I just was sick of the same outfits over and over though so I put her in 0-3 month even though it was too big.

DD2 is 10 weeks old and can still fit comfortably into newborn onesies, but switched to 0-3 month sleepers at 8 weeks.

Both kids were 7 lbs 15 oz at birth.

Maybe 2-3 weeks? But then was in a weird place where 3 month size was still really big. Now at 8 weeks it's finally fitting appropriately.

He was 7lbs 3ozs and 21" at birth.

It really depended on the brand. Some things were too small at birth, some things fit up to 3-4 weeks old.

I think I need to get some more newborn clothes. Everyone said that they didn't think we'd have a baby that would wear nb size, so a lot are 0-3.

DS was 6 lb, 13 oz. He wore NB stuff until about two months.

DS was 6lbs 11oz and wore NB until he was about 9 lbs or about 6 weeks.

NB stuff is still plenty loose on her at 3 weeks. She is about the right length now but still skinnier than everything.

That is what i did last time. It took months for her to fit them :-)

DD was 7 lbs 3 oz and in NB for 6 weeks. I had very little for her to wear since everyone said babies never wear newborn sizes. 0-3 was swimming on her and I had to send DH out to get her more clothes.
