- Sheets - every 2-4 weeks - Comforter/duvet cover - every few months - Bath towel - a week - Kitchen towel - a couple days. I switch those suckers out like crazy - A pair of jeans - 2-4 wearing - Gym clothes - every time I wear them (I sweat a lot, rewearing is not an option - I also don't wear underwear with my running shorts. Enough said.) - A cotton t-shirt - once - A suit - I wear a suit maybe once every few years, so I'll have it cleaned just to get the dust off. If I wore it more frequently, I'd wear it several times before washing. - A formal dress - the last formal dress I wore was my wedding gown and 7 years later and it still hasn't been washed

- Sheets- 2-3 weeks - Comforter/duvet cover- 2-3 months - Bath towel- 1-2x - Kitchen towel- Depends, if it's used for clean up, 1x. My parents and sisters (who are young enough to still live at home) only use towels once. I have no idea why. I grew up thinking it was normal and didn't start using them more than once until I moved out on my own (had laundry service in college) and didn't feel like doing them that often.
They have an entire closet of towels in each of their bathrooms.
- Sheets Two weeks - Comforter/duvet cover Until it has a stain or the end of the season - Bath towel One week - Kitchen towel One week - A pair of jeans Until they are either visibly dirty or the butt is saggy - Gym clothes a few wears, probably 3 - A cotton t-shirt until it is dirty or stretched out - A suit until I notice a stain or spill something on it, then it gets dry cleaned - A formal dress Um, never? Unless I notice a spot or something, I just hang them back up after wearing
Oh and laundry confession: I do all the laundry, and DH likes for his jeans to be washed after every wear. That's insane and not going to happen. I typically just fold them, put them away, and tell him they've been washed. So really, he also goes about 5-6 wears. Bad wife.
